Hoss I went out wheeling in my 1 to 1 today and you will not believe what I saw a 1 to 1 Hilux that looked dead on to your ride. it was very close minus the exo cage, and the dog. lol

I had to work today and it was SLOW, so I was able to make some seat belts. Oh...and of course they work.....They are fully adjustable and they latch togeather. I basically copied the ones from my racecar. They are made with some jewlery wire and ribbon from the craft store. On to the pics.

Here the belts installed. They wrap around a bar on the roll cage like the real ones do.

Well, I got a chance to actually take it out and have some fun with it this weekend. I went camping in the Sierra's at Union Valley Resevoir with the family. On the edge of the lake near our camp site was a few nice granite rocks to play on. So I had some fun, took some pics. I also broke the left front cvd, so she was 3WD for a while. Still fun just had to try harder.

I was very happy with the capability of this truck.

This was a fun line between these rocks.

Here is what I have been working on this week.

Nobody makes a 1/10 scale 22re so, I have to make my own. (the motor is just sitting on some foam for the pic)

The radiator and headers are mostly done. The block/head, and valve cover still need lots of detail work.

R/C Country Hobbies | Welcome

They are right over the hill from me. I'll definitely be calling them on the four link/cms kit. Awesome parts at a better price then I expected.

Here is the engine with some paint and a few more details. Now, before anyone gets too critical about the proportions of this engine. This has been built by "eyeball scale" nothing has been measured. I have just been looking at photos of engines and parts online. And just started bending and cutting plastic and this is the result. I know that it is not as long and skinny as it should be. But, I think it will still look good under the hood.

Still needs intake and lots more........ Not sure what kind of intake manifold I am going to go with. EFI, or Carbs What do you guys think? Stock EFI or Like some side draft Webber's or what?

Well...I guess that depends on what kind of intake this motor gets. Probably going to make it EFI. But, some side draft carbs would be cool. I have been trying to replicate an LC Engineering engine. On their website they have many different configurations. Here are two. Which do you guys think I should do? I know that the EFI would be better for a 1:1 crawler. But the carbs just look cool to me.

That hilux is fricken sweet! So far 22re looks spot on. This truck is almost exactly what was going to happen to my 1:1. And i think the side drafts definetely are the way to go!
