Just got some new tires and wheels. After hearing so much about the Pit Bull tires, I had to get some. Then I found out that they will not fit on the RC4WD 1.9 steelie beadlock wheel. So, I ended up picking up some stock Axial ones. The TR rock rings were made to fit them. I put some Panther short course closed cell foam inserts as well as the stock ones. I like the way that they feel. Time will tell as far as performance goes. Also got some hexes with disc brakes. Front I need to get some more scale hex head bolts for the rings. Rear I also received my Dinky R/C "Split Skid" "Blem". Not quite sure why they are considered a blemish. It dropped right in and bolted right up. I will need to run it to see if I have any problems with it. |

Ok Guys, After a long time sitting on a shelf in the garage, and being on display at the LHS for over a year. I decided to sell it to one of my friends. So, I got inspired to fix a few things and add some more detail under the hood. Once again turning to my old friend Styrene for a little help.... As always I just look up pictures of the parts I need and start cutting and gluing..... and..... Every thing you see under the hood is 100% hand made by myself. No store bought parts here!!! The engine bay is incredible! What type paint did you use on the styrene? The the LC Engineering logo turned out very noticeable for off hand painting.

Thank you! I agree the LC logo came out nice. The valve cover was spray paint. most of the rest is actually different color Sharpie markers. Silver, black & red. The markers dry quicker than paint which allows for quicker build time. Now when you open the hood it looks complete. Previously it looked ok, but was never finished in my eyes. Now I am happy with the final result. I can FINALLY after a few years call this one DONE! |
