Default CaliKing's HUMMER HX CONCEPT

This thread will be updated with actual build pics and tech, Just waiting on a few parts from VP and the body.
Specs:

Dingo kit,
SCX10 BEADLOCKS,
RR trans gears (stock as of now),
HD stock ratio rear gears,
OD HD front gears (Stock as of now),
Front beef tubes,
VP 8* knuckles and chubs w/ dlux no slop bushings,
Axial CVDs,
Gunnar pins throughout,
FXR,
Tekin 35t,
Hitec 7950 with CC BEC,
RC4WD radio and receiver,
Axial newer servo as winch (until I can afford a high torque one)

And to top it off a 1/10 Maisto Hummer HX concept body

I am kind of at a stand still until the body arrives. I built a home made chassis mounted servo / battery / electronics mount, but wont know if I need to move the servo back until I can sit the body on the chassis.

MORE TO COME

Where did you get the body. And do you know what the wheelbase is. I have an H2 and an H2T. I would love to find an HX body.

My wheel base turned out to be just over 10 1/2". I have a ton of pictures on my phone, I'll get them uploaded to the comp and get them here ASAP

I started by putting the chassis somewhat together. You all know what that looks like......

But since I already knew what I wanted and what I didn't want to pay for I went ahead and started modding while putting it together.

Started by making a light, simple and sturdy CMS set up.
Stole Bowties electrical mount idea with a twist and the CMS.

And while I wait for people to guess on that photo.

AAAHHHHHHH Nothing like the smell of easy-off in the morning.

Was going to dye them black like I have done on my previous scalers.

But I got in a hurry and opted to prime them, paint them satin black and satin clear.

Love the look, tho they are a little shiny.

This is the spare.

No big deal tho. Ended up moving the chassis forward about 1/2" and hacking about 1 1/4'' of the rear of the chassis.

Came up with this mount to maintain the stock rear bumper (for now)

Was able to keep the rear bumper with very little work on the body. I had new links made also (Thanks John aka SNAIL) that push the rear axle out a hair more.

As for the front tho, in order to keep the front bumper from the HX I would have to make a new servo mount. Didnt really want to so I will be using velcro to secure the front of the body.
