This is my first true scaler build so be easy on me guys lol It started as a dingo with a Chevy hard Body. My plan was a cross between a millitay truck and a sand dune toy like I used to have that we painted up to look military. It has a converted XR10 tranny GCM transfer case Over and under gears Fxr 12 turn quad motor back from the 90's Chassis mounted servo And all kinds of other crap I forgot. I'd like to put some dents in the body later down the road as it gets banged up Here's how is sits now. I'll update this pic as the build changes. I got most of it done just need the rest of the bumper done on front. ![]() Cool motor ![]() ![]() Twin 50cals to calm Devlin down when he gets crabby!! ![]() The build Here's with the Chevy hard body ![]() ![]() ![]() I just changed my mind on the fenders and decided to cut the crap out of them haaaa The fender flares I'm working on will cover up the cuts and I'll trim the rest after I see where they set. ![]() Full size and my cut down one. Here's a fender flare on ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's what it looks like after the all the flares are on Now just need to paint it up First coat of green ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I need to lower the body but it's coming along, I also got the XR tranny mounted. MY plan was going for a late model driver converted to a military looking rig out of the WW2 era Big old white star and 50Cal gun and army net on the bed. Thanks guys Ya when I put the wheels together I thought the back side looks stock. I'm pretty happy with the flares and keeps the body narrow. |

How are you liking the FSJ tranny? Is it giving you enough speed? Seeing how it is geared so low.

I'm putting in a 35 turn and a bigger tooth pinion and 3s and see how it feels.
