Ok, ok, You can drive it. I have used these Hillman collar weights on other trucks. Heck, I am running them on my 2.2 berg comp truck and my 2.2 shafty comp truck. These were $6.99 each. I knew I was going to the hardware store today, so I took a yota steering knuckle with me. These 5/8" collars work perfect for the front of my yota axles. 1.8oz each. No modifications needed. Clamp right to the knuckle. I am running SLW modded 1.9 axial beadlocks. I have an extra set of non-modded SLW 1.9 axials if anyone needs me to check. Can't get much easier than this! .....

| Re: Szczerba's F-Toy #744 Stock 1.9 Axial un-modded beadlock fits just fine. No issues. Don't think there will be any problems with most wheels. As the weight does not go past the the end of the knuckle. Almost like they were made for these weights. Thanks. It's not much of a jumper but we can try. |

Changed up the front shock rod ends to a touch longer and shortened up the outer shock limiters. Got a little more flex out of it. Need to get some Losi extra long rod ends for the rear shocks. Busted one at ECC and still haven't fixed it. Changed up the front foams to one 1/2" non memory foam star cut foam slice with two 1/2" thin slices of 2.2 memory foam on each side. Ran this before in another 1.9 rig and it worked good. Still stock foams out back. Shaved the side lugs down and shaved the lugs down a little. Found some numbers and going to see if they grow on me. Not sure if I like their design. 1.8oz each knuckle weights might not be enough. I was running 2.0 oz in each front wheel before. Definitely woke up the front end wheel speed. Might find a way to throw some more weight on the knuckle weights or axles somewhere. Couple late evening poser shots after a 1800mah run. Rear traction bar is next on the to do list. Either shaving the rok lox down or going from 2.0oz wheel weights to 1.8knuckle weights worsened the vertical climbing. Got to figure out what is going on. Researching traction bar setups now too.

I really like driving this rig! I've been putting a 1800mah lipo through it almost every night for the past 2 weeks. Super technical driving required with small tires and leaf springs. Finally snapped a front dog bone pin tonight. Wasn't paying attention and got a front driver bound up and click, click, boom! Good excuse to order some XVD's. After I shimmed up the ring and pinion gears, all is good with those gears. 1.9 Pitbull tires on the way with some nice MTHead beadlock rings as well. I'll have to mod a second set of 1.9 axials for the slw hubs. Sanded the side lugs down a bit and siped the front tires. Since it's down right now. I will try to get the traction bar(s) built this weekend. Rear leafs are getting warped and I am loosing traction from the axle twisting up out back upon acceleration. |

| Re: Szczerba's F-Toy #744 Rpphobby had them on sale for $185 a couple months ago and I decided to pick one up. Just the "topper" part. Looks like RPP no longer carries these. Guess they sold out. I think with no plans of Reign making any more mass produced. I had to modifiy it to work with the leaf spring setup. It was made well. I dump it on its lid at least once a crawl session. Reign RC SCX10 F-Toy bolt on cage. ...... Last edited by Szczerba; 05-09-2012 at 09:04 PM. |

Got some 1.9 Pitbulls on 1.9 axials with some MTHead rings. Wheels will get the SLW mod treatment as well. New XVD's are in the mail. |

Modded a second set of Axial 1.9's to accept SLW hubs. 350's on there since the pit bulls are a little wider. New foam setup in. A mix from the foam bins. XVD's where supposed to be here this morning but got delivered to the wrong post office. |

The pitbulls are really waking this rig up. Finally got a good foam combo in them. Fronts = super firm inner prototype/leftovers from CrawlerInnovations foam pile with pitbull outers. Rears = HPI Mini Trophy truck 1.9 stock foams with PitBull outers Works awesome though. Added small helper springs to rear leaf to tone down axle wrap until I can fab up the traction bar. Going to steal TommyR's design. Weighed it tonight. 6lbs 4oz |

Digging the look and progression of this rig, I have checked back a few times. Good stuff. The color weights are a nice find for sure....I will have to try those |

Got the XVD's installed and they work good. Already had a small 5x8x2.5 bearing junk out inside the axle. Ordered some "goot" ones. Quote:
I was thinking of swapping beadlock rings cause the pit bulls work 200% better than the rok lox. Athough I have a new uninstalled set of Crawler Innovations Lil' Nova 1.9 Dual Stage 4.50T Foam Pair (2) for the rok lox. I added about 1.5 oz to each wheel on the pit bulls to see if it helped. The pit bulls were grabbing better, so I really didn't need it. I ended up pulling the knuckle weights off. I need to remove the wheel weights and add the knuckle weights back on. I am halfway done with the rear traction bar. Just need to do some more head scratching to get it mounted to the axle. I used half of a 1/2" collar to make it as well. ...
