Default Tins Tundra

Got this from a member on here a month or so ago. It's a class 2 with custom bumpers and sliders.

Running TSL's
Integy 35t motor
Castle Sidewinder ESC
Hi Tech Servo with Hand Bros kit
4 Link rear
Tundra body with full lights
Full set of rock lights as well
Winch
Customer bumpers and slider

This is how it looked when I got it.

Default Paint time

Well comp time is coming up and I decided the thing was in pretty bad shape and needed some waterproofing. So I tore it down and waterproofed and painted.

Should I run with my company logo on the door like a work truck?

Another fine tundra, congrats on the new rig and glad you wheeling and modding it to your taste. Agree with the others, the logos on the rings are a nice touch. Keep the updates rolling in.

Any pics of how the cab and bed are mounted?

Cheers

Styrene holds the cab and bed to each other, then they are attached with velcro to chassis.

Did this yesterday.

Use a can lid and printed a sticker on my laser printer.

It moves if hit by rock and bends like a real plate would.

Scale comp coming up so I have been wrenching to get ready. :-)

Some tow chains and bungee cords.

Some rings on the front for towing.

Some firewood.

I am not sure if this part counts, but I put the spare tire underneath the bed like a real truck would have. This lowers my COG and I think it's a bit more realistic.

Scale cat5e. I know it's not trail stuff, but it's whats in my 1:1 truck.

Junk in the back. My tool box wasn't dry yet so it's not in the pic but it will hold the tow straps.

Amsoil dealer sticker.

and a spare that is legal.

Currently at -33 points as long as the cat5 and monitor count. :-)

Made a tool box for the tow straps to go in. DOes that count as functional scale item?

Its got a metal lid. I just have to find some hinged and magnets to hold it closed.

Little more done and another package arrived. :-)

These little babies will make it go for a while. :-)

I cut up a sherbet container and made some front fender wells. They aren't perfect, but you can't see the mistakes. :-) thats another scale point!

And then finally I threw on a set of class one tires just to see how it would look. Actually looks like a truck of a guy who lives in my town and owns a boat shop.

Real happy with how this rig did. I took second at the comp on Sunday. Lets hope I can keep up that trend throughout the season. I have a feeling it was just beginners luck. :-)
