Started this build a while back. Basically a time filler till my 2 Clod bodies arrive, and i can start on my Clod crew cab...

But anyway, the chassis is a TL-01 with lifted suspension, longer shocks, and custom made shock towers.

Body is a all styrene, armoured vehicle of some sort. Like I explained on another forum, it's just bits of all sorts of armoured vehicles I researched on the web. Hence the name... Project Unknown.

All i can say now for sure, is it is headed for a modile radar truck with a mine sweeping detachable rotating arm up front. Anyway on to the pics...

Decided on a roller shutter on the rear.

Made a armoured grill, protection for the radiator against bullets...

Escape hatch if the vehicle ends up on it's side. No chance of opening the armour door if it's laying on it...

Armoured rims.

Ladder access to the roof escape hatch...

http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/v...n/e29734ad.jpg

as you can see, the vented exhaust grill is there, so the ladder steps had to be made smaller in that section.

All the windows and doors cut out now...

Interior...

basically, 2 seats, and a place for the radar station operator. This duty would be fulfilled by the passenger to save space.

This space is for all the switches, it will have a openable hatch cover.

Picture of the dash, nowhere near finished...

roof hatch...

and armoured side door, with working latch...

OK, so now you guys are up to date with the progress so far. It has taken a little under a week of evening building time. I'm currently figuring out the installation of the gear reduction unit with the limited space. More pics soon...

How bloody cool is that! Damn you kept this thing on the low and now come up with that? Awesome man! Your styrene work is brilliant. Love the attention to detail on the doors and rims. Reminds me a bit if a Casper with those wheels and tires.

Interesting build, I would make a shroud or cover for the door hinge.

Otherwise, someone could could cut that hinge, easy access.:
