| Barbie VW Bug
Here is something i've been working on these days... i found this used Barbie toy car at a local flea market and got the idea of turning it into another scaler ....size was perfect, all it needed was some chop chop from the wheel arches and bumpers. I mounted the body to the scx10 rock sliders mounts on the sides. I also cut out the light holes so i can add light buckets and LEDs later on. Anyway, here are the photos... pretty swet, i would keep hacking that rear bumper, get some tub bumpers on there, and a scale motor coming out the back and it should look sweet.

That is disgustingly awesome. I shouldn't like it, but I do.

Pretty sweet...I keep eyeballing my daughters Barbie bug but it's purple. That thing is probably like a cat eh...always lands on it's feet. |

LOL thanks... yes its a pretty weird build but i think i like it :-) Haven't even driven it yet except on the flat floor....the first pics were poser shots in the garden All i know is that due to its size, there is no articulation problem and wheels have enough space where to thuck in the wheel arches. today i'll try and wire the two spots in the front bumper....yesterday night was all ready and then when installed nothing worked....then i cut out front leds and it worked. This morning i found that it was simply an led wire that came off. |

My wife's aunt has one of these at the house for when the kid's come over and I have been envisioning some thing similiar. I LIKE IT! Forget about the kid's, it's all about me.

coolest bug ever! My daughter has the Mini barbie car. I sat it next to my rig and the WB is perfect! She doesnt play with it much but I think the wife would shoot me if I made a truck out if it. I am however going to steal the body off of my kids newbright rc truck. He took it through the water and fried the board. Now its MINE!!! Now you just need to do up the interior and it will be complete Awesome Sauce!!! |

Looks good as Herbie. Very different in shape to most of the lexan versions so stands out from the rest, should have good rollover capability |
