Here is my Venom Creeper modded to fit a Dingo body.

I plan on getting some new tires soon and would like some suggestions on what to buy. I will be mounting them to these wheels. But then I changed my mind and got these rims.

The Boggers really gave it a meaner look. Can we get dimensions on your speaker box?

Box is 1 1/2" tall x 2 1/8" wide x 1 3/4 long

The box doesn't have any sides. It is just a strip of cardboard folded twice with the ends duct tape'd together on the inside. I then wrapped it in velcro and a couple pieces of velcro cut to fit on the sides just to make it look like a complete box.

Speakers came from this boombox thing you can buy at books-a-million

Made a scale Maglite with an old body post. Not much to it, just some foil tape stuck on it but it passes in my book.

Also i took the boots that came off the Terminator figure I bought. I hollowed them out and hung them off the cage

I always carry a piece

No

The first rims were these. They are OK looking, they are not real beadlocks though. I borrowed them from BlakeM020 till I found a rim & tire combo.

The rims I have now are stock axial beadlocks that I think came with the original Honcho kit. I got them off ebay.

Thanks for the feedback and everyone checking out my build. I hope to have some links to a few youtube videos the ECC crew made this weekend up soon.

Thanks for the kind words my good sir. I'm fully locked and without any more spare channels thanks to the 4WS setup.

I got a scale body mount made by Venom you can find here. I saw that the Safari Creeper came with it and was glad to see I could buy one separately.

I had to shorten it to get it to fit the Dingo body. I modded the Creeper to where I only had to chop the front rails. I extended the rear and shortened the front to (in theory) push the weight towards the front of the truck.

Some Creeper porn for you guys

Here is an update showing the steering wheel I put on and the gas tank I mounted on the back. I also put up some pics of my headlight setup.

My buddy got some new 2.2's for his wraith and I set them in front of my truck.

How u like those new tires? I don't like much the baja claws, despite they're the tallest and the widest, the thread seems just wrong for off roading, but these?

Both the Claws and Boggers will break in and work much better. Both are good "woods" tires for muck and trails and do their best there. There are many better option on the rocks. The Boggers in my experience become much softer then the Claws. They actually work very well over all. One of my favorite tires. I love the looks of the Claws and their performance is decent. you just need some time on them to break them in and a hefty rig (weight) as they are fairly stiff. The good part of that is when you run in a lot of trails and branches and hidden crap in the mud, they hold up and do not puncture.

Pretty much nailed it.

I bought these tires because they not only looked great, but were the tallest/narrowest 1.9's i could find. The Venom has a low belly I didn't want to have the shocks super stiff to get the ground clearance needed. The Venom is heavy and I have my rims weighted. I didn't trim the foam when I mounted them and the boggers were very firm at first. The truck still looked great but I wasn't getting near the grip I had with my 2.2s. The tires are getting better and better though and I'm now glad I didn't do any trimming. The foam that the boggers come with is cheap and is loosening up and I think the side-walls are getting loosened up as well. The contact patch is noticeably bigger now and performance is improving.

When going scale with my Venom I knew that I would have to sacrifice some performance for looks. Tires were my biggest concern and I have no regrets in getting the boggers.

Speaking of tires, I recently switched out my front shocks with some axial scx10 shocks. I had too much flex in the front and it was causing the boggers to get jammed up in my wheel well so bad that the tire would stop turning all together. I mounted the new shocks in the stock configuration. With the shorter front end I have they fit pretty good. I'll get some pics up soon.

Just changed up my crawler. I'm not sure if this is still considered a Venom crawler now. I put a scale ax10 chassis with an ax10 tranny on Venom axles. It came out nice. I just got to fab some body mounts and plug in the electrodes. Ground clearance is amazing, truck is a lot lighter and I like everything being metal. I plan on upgrading the lower links ASAP.

The links on there are stock Dingo links. Does any one know of some good bent metal links that are Dingo size?
