I got my truck ready at the morning of the 2012 Axial Northwest Scale Championship, just before the C2 courses opened. I only drove this truck for about 30secs before I hit the first Class two course and got a +21 but then did a lot better on the other three courses. I placed 19th out of 43 driver, I am happy with that. Oh yeah, this rig only has 40 scale points....I think I need to add some....lol. This rig turned out to be really light and I really dig how low the COG is. All in all, very happy with this rig, so much...I am going to rebuild my C1 to get it lighter now.

Here are some finished pics, I will post body off pics in a bit. But I was able to make a full interior, used RC4WD racing seats and a hilux dash.

Here is a pic from Jeremy (Pointman) when I was running a C2 course. That tire flexing up to the tube fender is just sexy...lol.

MadDogRC - "chino63" Scale 2" LED Light Bar

MadDogRC - "chino63" Scale LED Rock Lights

Maddog 2" lightbar

If your wondering, the holes are 1" apart

Used some extra axial servo mounts I had laying around for mounting brackets.

Sorry for the bad outdoor pics, was too lazy to get my tripod....lol.

The Maddog winch hook is just killer, fits over 3/16" tubing perfectly.

Really turned out great, those tube front fenders and dual winches really set it off.

Few pics from the TTR/Scale Run in November...

MM got a little wet and dirty...time for a quick lube job on the CVDs & Driveshafts and to check for loose bolts.

Picked up some 4.75 Baja Claws and Lil' Nova 1.9 Dual Stage foams(med outer). The pitbulls work great but I wanted some more ground clearance and with the bigger tires...I gained a bit of approach angle too.

Here are some pictures from the WARCRC "Team Train Run" on 3/23/13.:awsome:

Here were a few pics from the WARCRC crawler comp on 3/24/13 at Mount Erie....super fun place!!

The view there is just amazing!

Got my photobooth back up, started to put the Curries together. I had to shave quite a bit of the inner pinon bearing so the ring/pinon mesh was not so tight...I guess the stock ring/pinon mesh is good but the mesh gets tighter when using OD/UD gears.

Parts:

VP Currie front axle: Currie Rockjock SCX-10 front axle assembly Black
VP CVDs: http://www.vanquishproducts.com/axvvdheduaxs.html
VP Locker: http://www.vanquishproducts.com/valoforaxwra.html
Axial Overdrive gear: http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/ax30401.htm

These VP lockers work great, almost no slop.

I am excited about have the bearing stops on these CVDs, the Super 300's did have any and that ended up blowing a lot of bearings.

There is some what of a good amount of caster built into these axles. Almost want to say a hair more.
