Guys, thanks for the words. Busy weekend. Lots of building. People have contacted me about purchase price...Thank you! I'm not ready to sell just yet and I'll have to be fair and do an ebay auction for it. Thanks for the interest. I'll keep you all posted. More fun to come. Gotta get back in the shop. |

A little update on the truggy. I fabbed up some inner fenders out of ABS. This will hide my electronics and mess inside! Getting the right lines. My fake radiator. The fender will be trimmed up front. Nice and clean. I heated and bent the abs. I guess my subconscious was working without me. I built the truggy, and noticed last night how much it looks like this one off extreme. That was a great episode! I've got a lot more planned for this. Lighting, scale details and some new wheels soon. Stay tuned! Hopefully some more pics tomorrow! Thanks for looking! |

Thanks. I really didn't want the stock tundra front end. I wanted something mean and tough. It's coming together. More to come. |

rig's looking great! curious to know how well your magnetic body mount system works in reality? i'm planning to get a tundra body to play with and though this system was very clever. also, how heavy is the rig with all the cage work, which i'm assuming is solid rod? the 1:1 "project toyota mini" from Xtreme was the inspiration for my Honcho rig. i see you've started cutting your Claws too - i cut mine (and siped) like that and they pulled much better afterward. |

Holy SH$T, who opened the question box? I'll do the best I can boys. Here we go. Desert, It's getting new wheels soon, some dark bling...VP style and yes It will be for sale. I just wanted to build something like this for giggles. I'm not emotionally attached to it. If you or anyone else likes it, pm me and I'll put you on the list for when it's available. v84x4, that Gif!? Gif? I dont' know what it's called, but if I were epileptic, I'd surely be on my 27th seizure! WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAA! Johnny, simp, banana, fj40, summit, thank you...It is pretty sharp. Perk...As for the magnets...I use magnets for everything....brazing, welding holding etc. It's a great builder's trick. Pick up a bunch of little various sizes and you'll find a use for them. By the nature of how I built the cage, the magnets actually aren't holding the body on. It's more pressure fit between the body mounts and the rear cage. If it weren't as tight as I planned, the system works well. Just take note of the styrene guides that locate the body. I hate body pins, and depending on the size of the magnets you use, you can play with how loose or tight the body is mounted. In a rollover, the body can break free instead of break. Stay tuned...parts are enroute, and as always...thanks for looking. |

Oh, when I talked to Lue about this build, I had a very particular picture in mind. Most of his builds are his own work and engineering. I supplied him with a ridiculous amount of specific instructions for what I wanted. He's a really cool guy to deal with and built it exactly to my specifications....down to the smallest details. For this I payed him a premium price for the chassis and dealing with me being overly specific. If you are interested in something like this, contact him and see what he says. He's always been very honest on what he can and can't do for the price. He's done a number of chassis' for me (sorry I haven't posted up the others)...and I've always been blown away by the product. |
