Default Mattzilla's Tundra Truggy for Bulldog

Well, we all know that Lue builds great chassis'. Well, I decided to pull the trigger and have him build me one. Here are some progress pics so far.

It all starts somewhere!

Lue had to show off his new truggy. DROOL!!!

Super scale shock mounts.

How she's sitting now.

I'm really digging the lines. I can't wait for it to come together. Thanks Lue, can't wait!

What's up Bulldog. Cool looking build. Are you goong to run the 2.2's or did matzilla just use them for mock up? I should be posting my new tundra build next week.

Thanks guys...this should be nice. z71...the wheels (tires) mocked up under the white one (mine) are 1.9 baja claws. Lue has 2.2 rok lox on his truggy. I'm keeping this 1.9. Updates in time.

Keep me posted Lue. I know you're busy. I have some time and plenty of other projects going. After we get this one done, I've got a great plan for the next one!

Bulldog,
When you post up again, let us in on your powertrain choices... I've taken the plunge and Mattzilla's going to build a chassis for my next next build!

Cheers,
T

The powertrain is cheap and sleezy. Pretty much stock. Mips is about all. This rig is just me playing with ideas. I've got too many other projects going on that have the goodies.

"cheap and sleezy" = excellent!!!

I've kept my SCX10 stock 'cept for fancy wheels-n-tires... not sure what powertrain I'm gonna put in my Tuna build - I'm putting a 13.5 redline in my wraith kit - I'll see how that goes then proceed from there...

Your Miss Bud super duty's sweet - are you gonna build a trailer and get a gofast boat to pull around?

Cheers,
T

That truggy looks fantastic. One question: what are these things and where can I get some?

They are machinist step blocks. I found them on Ebay. They are KILLLER! You can use them for anything and they're really helpful for building chassis. My particular ones are in mm increments and about two inches wide and can span up to 5 inches or so. Search around ebay and see what you find. I don't have a link. Well worth the money. I picked up 8 sets and use them all. If you can't find them, pm me, maybe I can dig through ebay and find a link.
