Always liked this chassis, just wish RCP would have built the jeep hood to go with it like the fullsize one.

Maybe a little bigger version of the chassis too.

This looks like a sweet ride. Got a small tech. question for ya about those shocks. Is there any little tricks for them or do you run them as they come? Im lookin to use the 110mm on my Wreckluse build attached to home made shock hoops. I got some of the white 90mm on my Honcho and they are stiff as a board.

i think you have the old style shocks..
these are the ult scale shocks..much smaller in dia..and softer springs.

i swap out the orings and drain the fluid out..clean and relube with silicone shock oil.
gets rid of the "sticky" feel to them..

aannnndddd im back on it..

and finished!

dammit dont you love it when inspiration hits added with a dash of ..
foundmissingpartsiknewihadsomewhere..

replaced the hr lcg tranny for a stock axial tranny housing..
outrunner tranny plate for the smaller type brushless outrunner motors..
mamba micro esc
90t spur gear 16t pinion
450mah 3s lipo for a touch of speed

this lil dude will get it on 3s!
2s is more control but lacks the umph to get it over/up and obstacle..

I would shorten up the wheelbase and 1.9's make it look like the real one.

That's just me, I need to pick one up myself!

i agree about reducing the wheelbase...
but for now it'll work..

got a gtg 2mrw at woopigsooie's (kents) house..
so i hope to give it a maiden run/trouncing at his place!

and gonna try the 1.9s and 2.2's and see which i like better..

i cant remember exactly what kv that motor is either..??
but it is pretty fast on 3s...so im thinkn @3000kv??

ran it at our gtg this last weekend.

did fairly well..my ratings out of a possible 10
suspension was 7/10
motor was 6/10 for slow crawling
steering was 8/10

i like the 2.2's on it the best..
did ok with the 1.9 2faces,needs less kv motor maybe @2200-2500kv
to run the 1.9's.

could drop a few pinion teeth to help out in the slowcrawl area..

got some gap jumping in slo-motion..

video to come here shortly.

Looks good, but imo looks more like a comp rig than a scale rig. If the wb as a little shorter I think it would help keep it looking like a buggy.
