z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna These are some of the best looking tundra rigs I have seen by far, so I hit up one of the best in the business, MG200 to build the chassis the inspirations: Wally101's Sloppy Tundra http://i1181.photobucket.com/albums/...1/IMAG0620.jpg and Mad4Rnr's Tuna http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...z/DSC05714.jpg and the final creation with a touch of MG200 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...2906-37795.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...2906-37794.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...2906-37788.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...2906-37789.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...2906-37790.jpg |

Re: z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna thanks Wally, can't wait to get it on the mail, but it looks like the post office might of lost the package or it's com'n via burro...lol gotta wait a couple more days  question.....how did you trim your fenders? |
Re: z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna Siu-siu-filiu...I got a USPS confirmation scan that my package arrived. Sweet. Not that anyone cares but me. |

Re: z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna I have a few cosmetic updates. Painted the cab, threw on some sponsor decals and made a diamond plate cab bacl filler: finished cab http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ndracab001.jpg http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ndracab002.jpg http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ndracab004.jpg diamond plate cab back filler. This mounts to the cage, not the cab. This is what I opted for since cutting .060 diamond plate is easier than working with styrene...and it looks a bit cool8) http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ndracab005.jpg also made one for the clod http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ndracab007.jpg http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ndracab006.jpg |

Re: z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna I really like that cab back! And the paint and graphics look killer!"thumbsup" Where did you get the diamond plate? |
Re: z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna Yeah z, this is turning out to be a killah rig! "thumbsup" So, um where did you source the diamond plate? And this goes out to the RCC community who've done Tuna builds; where did you get your bodies? 8) I'm pretty convinced that a Tuna buggy should be my next, next build (after my wraith kit and B4 my D90), but a good winter project... ;-) Cheers, Todd |
Re: z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna Coming together nice! Can't wait to see this in actions"thumbsup" |

Re: z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna got some progress done on the cab. had to modify the grill assembly since the cms was interfering with the cab. Also got the chassis back from the powdercoat http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...dracab2004.jpg http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...dracab2005.jpg http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...dracab2001.jpg http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...dracab2002.jpg |
