z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna

These are some of the best looking tundra rigs I have seen by far, so I hit up one of the best in the business, MG200 to build the chassis

the inspirations:

Wally101's Sloppy Tundra
http://i1181.photobucket.com/albums/...1/IMAG0620.jpg

and Mad4Rnr's Tuna

http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...z/DSC05714.jpg

and the final creation with a touch of MG200

truck looks like it'll be quite the build, what all do you plan on putting in it power wise?

fo - sho Bulldog, I've been curious to see your southern buggy in person

Re: z71baja's Tundra truggy..inspired by the R2j Sloppy Tuna

I have a few cosmetic updates. Painted the cab, threw on some sponsor decals and made a diamond plate cab bacl filler:

finished cab

http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ndracab002.jpg
http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...ndracab004.jpg

diamond plate cab back filler. This mounts to the cage, not the cab. This is what I opted for since cutting .060 diamond plate is easier than working with styrene...and it looks a bit cool8)

also made one for the clod

Where did you get the diamond plate?

Yeah z, this is turning out to be a killah rig! "thumbsup"

So, um where did you source the diamond plate?

And this goes out to the RCC community who've done Tuna builds; where did you get your bodies? 8) I'm pretty convinced that a Tuna buggy should be my next, next build (after my wraith kit and B4 my D90), but a good winter project... ;-)

Cheers,
Todd

got some progress done on the cab. had to modify the grill assembly since the cms was interfering with the cab. Also got the chassis back from the powdercoat
