Always love the Lovell's cars. Always clean Doing a great job on this one, the body work will really pull it together in the end. |

| Re: Project Lovell Racing Thank you, that was my focus so i'm glad it's noticed Thanks, me too they are a work of art, it's a shame i couldn't pull their ranger skins off but i still tried to make it have the same shape, for example i took those pointy tundra body lines out of the fenders to try and give them that round bulgy look of theirs. The bedsides are also buldged out, hard to notice right now hopefully the paint makes em' pop. Well you're lucky i wanted to try out the new front steering link i made , snapped a couple pictures for ya. Wasn't completely dark, but they are super bright i was quite impressed the first time i powered it on. Quote:

| Re: Project Lovell Racing I'll have to wait and see how i feel about it when it's at that stage but I'll most likely get some single stage automotive paint from the local paint supply store. I'd like to find the paint code the lovell's used and match it that way, part of the cage is painted with it as well on the 1:1 so that would be cool to do as well. Quote:
Good question, when i drew it out i set it for 12.5", i just measured it and under it's own weight it's at 12.6". Well, i hope no one was too attached to that chopped up tundra front end. It was bugging me, so I've gone mad and this thing is going to look like a ranger in the front. I couldn't envision the hood going down flat to the top of the headlights/grille. So a few hours later, the fender's are filled in (still need sanding) and the tundra light buckets are chopped up to look like the rangers. They had too much depth for the front of this, so i brought the main lamp closer to the corner/running lamp. The design between the 2 is quite similar. The 1:1 hood should be pretty easy to make, grille shouldn't be too bad either. I've created lots more work, but it will be worth it. Time for bed | |

Could I big you for one more measurement? How wide is your body? I ask as I am fixing to start a build based on the same general design as their trucks. Trying to get everything together and we are using similar size parts in way of axle width and tire size. Which is really helping the visualization easier on my end, haha. My front clip is 6" wide at the center line of the fenders. I did not do the typical pinch, just narrowed it. Thanks and keep up the nice work. Clay |

If you get some ill get you a set of steel tubes that accept axial outers and axial shafts. They would complete the truck for sure.

Hey there! It's not forgotten, progress is just moving a lot slower than i'd wish for. Mainly a lack of time, and my lack of building speed. For instance, GPS unit took me a good 3-4 hours to make/paint last night. Many hours of body work has been done that's not really noticable. I shaved the axial seats and cut the weight of each one in half. This stage is tough to really show "progress". Especially all those hours spent staring at the interior trying to decide how to build it so it can be romved, etc. Still a long ways to go, but it's getting there Edit- I should have the new axial maxxis 1.9'ers to try on her today. Ive been thinking about a set of Locked UP r/c trail ready style wheels but i'll worry more about it when i have money to spend, and when it's closer to being done. Well, i got home from work and instantly went to work on this thing. But before i did anything, i had to mount the new trepador's and i must say i am very impressed by them. They mounted up super easy, the dimensions are spot on, and the compound seems very sticky-can't wait to run them. Once i got them mounted, i noticed how far back the rear tires were. So i shortened it up .25" and my new wheelbase is 12.25. Finished sanding the seats smooth. Cut the weight of them in half. I also got my issue squared away with the side panel's holding the bend. Not sure why i didn't think of this from the get go. Hopefully i can get this body work wrapped up soon |
