Budhatrain's rc4wd truggy
Messing around in the garage today... Putting up my stuff from racing over the weekend and I pulled down this crawler, it's a rc4wd, boyer designed truggy that uses their t-rex60 axles and a nice scale frame, tube work in the bed. I picked it up over a year and half ago (I think)- tried to use it here and there. This last time I ripped through a output shaft in one of the axles. Found out it's pretty loose from the factory and you need to shim it out. Also output shafts from a TLT-1 fit fine and you get two for half the price of just one on rc4wd.
From the beginning I didn't really like the half toyota look to it. I don't like to paint that much and I just couldn't add enough decals to make it look good. While going through some extra bodies I have, I came across this proline one, you may have seen it before on this website: Pro-Line 2007 Chevy Silverado Body 3229 for Monster Truck. I love this body but it had a big hole in the back for a nitro motor... took out the dremel after MUCH thought, made it fit the body! While I was add it- tried to waterproof the electronics,added duratrax side mirrors mounted a "tool box" in the back. Added an aluminum floor to the truggy area- put different tires on it and here you go. I know the pictures are not the best, weather outside is bad but can't wait to take it to the trails! Thinking about a light bar on top but I don't know... the holes are there.... but it's looks really cool now. What an awesome day... had no definitive plan and this ended up taking most of the day... love the hobby and I didn't spend any money today! |

Went to the local hobby shop today, recently they just built a small crawling park. I was actually surprised that there were plenty of challenges for my small 1.9. I thought it would only fit the super comp stuff but I had fun and snapped some pics!

Thanks I like it too... It's been long getting used too. It's heavy and it kept breaking every time I go out. First was the front axles- now xvd's. Then it was the rear output shaft- replaced. Even today I stripped out a hub. I am kinda new to the crawling, all locked up parted of RC so I know some of it is driver error. But today was fun and I can see the potential. I definitely like this body a whole lot better!

I have Axial axles on mine. The RC4WD's are too weak.

Looks great! If you're going to run it, swap out some axial axles with hopups. The rc4wds aren't going to hold up. I don't normally like lexan bodies, but this is looking sharp!
