The wooden barrel is cool... I got to stain it or something

So, I've never seen a "whiskey express"...but I have to have a theme

"moonshine transport"
"180 Proof"
"Prohibition Runner"
"Shine Runner"
"Hill country distiller"
"Ozark mountain runner".....I like this one

I lay awake at night thinking this $hit up...

Figured I'd ask you guys to vote on one...or come up with another one

Ha...his real name is Dick Trickle....what was his mother thinking

I talked to my sticker guy...he can get me a roadrunner decal and do the text so I think I've narrowed it down....of course it will be in red...couldn't do it yesterday, didn't have any red vinyl

Also did some other stuff to get it trail/comp ready...pictures when I get it all together...

Oh...you're not out of the running yet...I like "Private Stock"

Just kidding....I just added my list to your suggestions

I saw that build some time ago...he laid his barrel down...if I could find a scale spigot I'd do that...my barrel doesn't have a top.

So...decided on the theme...also decided to smoke the windows instead of having an interior. Rule #1 when painting a lexan body is be sure you have backed your light colored body with plenty of coats before hitting it with a darker color....like window tint...or black. As you will see it bled thru my original color. The only upside to this is, it makes it look dirty or greasy...just like a backwoods old rum runner....

The barrel turned out nice though....

I was bummed....

Had a shake down run today with Meatwad and Chino63...we got dirty in a hurry
It's been raining for a month...but not today.

Had a lot of fun....

Not impressed with the ripsaws that came with the truck...but really liked Chino's Trepadors...thinking I might have to get some of those...they simply worked better than mine, or Meatwads Pit Bulls

The truck actually handled pretty good today. The only thing that bothered me was it sits a bit low....I get a bit of hi centering...maybe it was the 1.9's ???

No pics of her maiden voyage Greg? Was a fun day for sure

That barrel looks the part, goes with the truck for sure... After a cleanup

Edit: ya beat me to it!

I feel that a low slung rig with a bit taller tires or even portal axles is easier to drive. As long as those tires have decent sidewall support for sidehilling situations.

That Trepador was about 3/8" taller than my ripsaw...and probably has a better side wall than the Pit Bull. Was surprised to hear about the holes...
I bet I buy some Trepadors...

Thanks Alex....we had a good time. The footing was a little suspect as you can see in the blurry picture...

Mostly uphill...on a slippery slope...speaking of slippery, is that Shakira ??
