| [HOMELESS] HOBBIES HOT[MOG] 1.9 UniMog Build☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆BEEP BEEP MUTHRMOGR So It's time for another rig! And what better time than the NEW YEAR! I've been searching for a new project for awhile and last week I was on the prowl for a kick a$$ unimog chassis and was going crazy trying to find one. I emailed mg200 to get the ball rolling on getting a ride together and no sooner than I received a reply I found EXACTLY what I had been looking for randomly in the forum.. and to boot it was an untouched MG200 chassis! Needless to say I jumped on that like nobody's business! SO here we are! This build will be awesome! and in true HOMELESS fashion I'll be trying to use almost 100% used parts.. << Last edited by ScaleDustin; 09-23-2015 at 09:18 PM. |

| Re: [HOMELESS] HOBBIES HOT[MOG] 1.9 UniMog Build☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆BEEP BEEP MUTHR I've been wrestling with myself , trying to answer that question.. I first thought I wanted to do a split skid with the motor up front but in the end while it makes the truck more scale and weighted forward.. Theres just so much more involved in that than just throwing a axial tranny in.. I like my rigs super scale but also super simple and easy to work on when I'm out on the trail. I think I'll end up using the chassis tabs and put a floor in with a tranny cut out and maybe do a fuel cell or a on board compressor over that to cover the spur. What would you do ??? your the mog master.. lol I have put some serious time in staring at your mog over the past 6 months.. |

The way mine was done as wedge and sits on bed. Then spare tire mount fit tight and doesn't move. But removable when you pull the cab, you can just slip out. |

Take the extra time and throw the remote motor and tcase in. You said you want it - so do it. Till then you can't say its not just as simple of a layout over just the tranny. Just Dooooo It! |

The nice part about the mog is you have so much room to do a front mun tranny....and it really doesn't need to be that involved. But you also have room to tuck the tranny in the normal spot and make it work. IMO it will take more thinking outside the box to get the tranny in the normal spot rather then just committing to a forward mount on this particular build. Look forward to seeing progress. |
