| Lemon Lime F350 build
So I'm building 2 f350's. one is going to be jus a scale offload build. The "lemon lime" build. And the other is going to be a baja inspired build with beater body. To start I have mounted both trucks on scx10 frames and got the wheel base right. Both rigs are sitting on Dick Cepek mud country tires rc4wd steel wheels. The beater is on a rooster 55t combo and the other is on goat 3s 21.5t combo. The beater may get a goat 13t combo not sure yet though. The beater will have a tube rear with bed sides flared not doved. The other will be stockish perhaps with a dropped bed. Rock sliders/ side steps. Maybe a full interior. Thinking about an extended cab not sure though. On to some pics. That's about where I started. And then had a mishap with the grey body that turned me on to a beater look. And then inspiration hit. Baja Beater. So I started to custom flare the front fenders baja style. I have got to the rear yet but it's coming as soon as I get the sides mounted to the tube rear. Here's a few pics of the work so far. Oh I plan on making it flat black with yellow or green. Not decided yet. More to follow. Last edited by Joe$; 01-23-2013 at 10:49 PM. |

Been doing some work on the rigs. A bit of tuning and testing. Me and my brother were braving the cold to crawl the wood pile. Lemon Lime is prepped and getting paint I'll post a vid of the wood pile crawl later |

yes, yes i did. so what happened was i cracked the plastic by the bottom of the bed behind the pass. door and i glued it back on. then i'll set it by the wood stove for a few min to dry. no big deal untill the kids start bugging and you forget about it... so i'm trying to make the best of it lol. i bought a replacement for it also but i think i'm going to use it as a tester for future fab work, and weathering beater look and whatnot. |

after a quick search i found a youtube video. stockish looking honcho. i like it though im just not a fan of silver vehicles. i was going to get a new body and paint it before decided on the hard body. i saw your post asking about the f350 body fitting the honcho. it fits very well. i kept the stock length front links and i'll try and measure my rear links for you if you want.

finishing up the detail paint on lemon lime i also started working on the weathering on baja beater pics once its a bit farther along i need to finish the fenders and bed and re weld the rear cage. while i have been waiting on paint to dry i also started my gcm tundra build. its a running chassis but it needs allot of work. baby steps though i'll start a build thread on it soon |

I can't wait to pull the tape off of the lemon lime truck. It's like waiting for Christmas.

Ok I pulled the tape off. And I'm mostly pleased with my end result. There are only a couple spots that need touch up. I hope to have the bed and lined and finished and the rest of the cab done by tonight. Now some pics |
