i finally took this thing out and got it dirty on oklahoma sandstone! i put on the new pitbull xl's with an old set of cac 12 holes, and got them to 5" with ci dueces wild foams and also a double duece outer ring around them to really fill the tire. on a rig this heavy it works pretty well. there is definitely sidewall support.  its pretty capable for what it is and fun as heck to run... i think i cut it a little too close to c2 legal length (pun intended) when i chopped the back off, so i might have to braze a little bumper or something back there next time i tear it down. right now its not c2 legal anyway with the xr width curries, but it looks so good with the bigger rockbeasts and xr width... i got another set of xl's coming from the drain the swamp sale, gonna do some sorta grooving to 'em and maybe this truck will be a little ttc/g6/fun rig. |
