took the servo off and mounted the front axle for mockup.... the shock hoops are off front and rear and the frame sticks out past the hood too much for my liking so either i can move the shock hoops forward and make longer links or i can chop off some off the front and leave the axle where it is.. next the rear hoops are too far forward so i can drill new holes and move them back on the frame..

also sold the rock sliders that i made to a friend because they are too short so im gonna make some news ones.. here's some pics of what im talking about....

ran the chassis a tiny bit yesterday but the rear driveshaft kept popping off because the rear axle flops around cuz the lower links arent bolted on but should be able to get some material this week and make up a crapload of links...

now that the chassis is basically done except for links and apparently theres no work for me this week im going to start on the sliders tomorrow, once that is done i can figure out how i want to mount the body.

Your doing some great work here. I would say chop some of the front frame. Can't wait to see the end results!

thanks man!!!

got to thinking last night on how to mount the body.. im thinking i might just mark and drill some holes in the hood and bed and run the body posts.. it would be easier to get the body on and off the chassis... then if i decide to use some heavy duty velcro i can just fill in the holes and make it smooth again

i also bolted on the grille last night and set it on the frame looks good... im going to leave the frame for now and see how it runs with the body on.

took the chassis on the rocks this morning just before it rained.. phew.. it did good it needs weight in the wheels, soften up the foams a bit more, wear in the tires and shock adjustment/ rebuild...

bolted the cab and bed and set it on the chassis.. got some pics, the front of cab is close to ride heigh but the ass end has to go up a bit..thinking i might open up the corners of the wheel wells a tad bit but either way there's gonna be rubbing haha

rubbing won't be a big deal when your flopping it over checker or wrecker
