well... havent really touched the rig in the last couple of months but i have decided to just fill a couple holes in the bodywork and primer and paint then finish the bodywork in the winter like i want it.. i did get the windows roughed out last night and a few spots filled. my internet has been screwing up lately and if it works for more than 5 minutes i would like to post some pics. |

the original plan was for it to be navy blue metallic and silver but decided to do it black and silver. this winter it will get some flames down the sides but it will just roll like this for now. if your thinking of building one--- i have a lot of time and money into this body.. but they just look awesome when they are finished and can be fixed fairly easy. the paint i used i got from canadian tire and its the krylon fusion for plastics in gloss black.. | |

Cab looks great. I am getting close to finishing my own, but I am curious why you didn't fill the holes down on the bottom? I am guessing maybe you will still use them for mounting? Just curious. And are those the tall claws? |

thanks guys.. yes i have some cool looking rock sliders in the works and those holes will be used for mounting. for right now i think im gonna just drill holes and mount it using the body posts. yes, those are the 1.9 mickey thompson baja claws which are 4.75" tall |

I shortened my bed a bit more then you did, but like you I am hoping for an eventual drop bed as well. I'm not sure about drilling and using the body posts, but I suppose that the holes are easily filled and will help you be an expert More doors are more fun anyway. |

Yea it's coming along slowly. I believe I took 7/8 out, but that's been a while ago. Here is where the cab is at the moment. Eventually it will be done, but I'm not in a super rush. It will be a shame to do all this work, then roll it on a rick or something, but I like mine to run! Keep up the good work on yours. |

thats looking good man!! yeah im not in a huge rush either even though all my friends are bugging me to get it done haha. the biggest thing for me right now is that the shop isnt heated so i usually work on my rc's in the house but then i cant cut, sand or do bodywork in the house so i have to walk the 100 ft to the shop just for a 10 second job.. was hoping to get some lumber tomorrow so i can build benches for my little workshop but dad wants to get them in place first.. so tomorrow will be spent moving some junk out of the way since i have to work on sunday. |

well got the cube van boxes in place, got some doors on my shop and the benches built and in place too.. so i was able to get some stuff done on this rig.. since the last update i put the hardened gears in the rear axle and got the back half of the body mounted.. it tucks the wheels nicely in the wheel wells.. here is some pics... i took lots of pics tonight because tomorrow im taking it crawling at a friends house so it wont look this good again.. hope you guys enjoy. |

umm.. i drove this rig the next day after the last pics and it did pretty good. im happy with how it crawls, there's too much snow at my house to really test it out but might walk up the road to a small creek and test it out there in january. im down in chilliwack bc right now visiting my grandparents and bought a set of hi clearance knuckles for the ax10 and 10 led lights for this rig and today i bought some more scale accessories and a prepaid card so i can order up my window set, then i will find something else cheap to go with that.. i brought it with me to chilliwack but there's not many places to crawl.
