project Night Fury-a rock bouncer build. about 6 weeks ago i started on a rock bouncer build. like many others i really liked the screamin II chassis so, i decided to build my 1.9 version of the chassis with alittle different paint and body style. i already lost track but if i had to guess i would say i have about 60 hours in this build as of now. TIG welded chassis, all 3/16 .035 wall stainless steel tube 11 1/4 WB scx10 axles scx10 trans all billet gears mip shafts trinity 15T on 3S G Made shocks mayhem 1.9 monsters 1.9 IROKS JR 8711 steering servo anyway here's some pics, let me know what you guys think. here it is now, would be a roller if i had my wheels from mayhem. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps9ee2c107.jpg and here's where i started. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...psc6729d64.jpg little welds "thumbsup" http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps387032b4.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...psd02e6414.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps9840ae59.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps0b99e8a0.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps78a8fee9.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps1eceaafa.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...psac69730e.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...pse4e86e76.jpg i was going to run a 3 link front with a panhard and CMS but my drag link was going to run right through my shock so i fixed that problem. i made a front truss for axle mount servo (which is what i really wanted anyway). http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...psa3c73354.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps3f28920b.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps5ec92f2a.jpg motor clearance at upper link mount. :lmao: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps8ebd7137.jpg and just another shot from underneath http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps5a69869e.jpg and here's with the tires, 1.9 iroks, set up next to it. the ride height isn't right here it will be lower then this by little. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...ps11d235f1.jpg |

Re: project Night Fury-a rock bouncer build. That turned out great. Love the welding job. Looking forward to seeing it running. |
Re: project Night Fury-a rock bouncer build. thanks for the compliments guys. i most say the actual chassis was the easy part. getting the suspension right and making everything fit in a small space is just crazy. i give props to others putting full interiors in their builds. |
Re: project Night Fury-a rock bouncer build. ok your welds make me wanna try - what welder are you using? |
Re: project Night Fury-a rock bouncer build. i have been using a miller dynasty 350. "thumbsup" |

Re: project Night Fury-a rock bouncer build. yeah, that's what i use a work. i have a dynasty 200 as my home machine. |
Re: project Night Fury-a rock bouncer build. Nice job Warren! I want a tig for Christmas! I gotta give you props...I thought a 2.2 was hard to fit stuff into...I can only imagine how tight things are on the 1.9! Question though...why 1.9 in the first place? |
