| Rusty's Jeep
I have been eyeing this one for a little one and decided it was time to try my hand at it. This is Rusty Bray's buggy. As always I started with a plan. Grabbed some wheels, tires and fancy rings from MThead. And cut up a New Bright TJ body then narrowed it a little. As always I have modified the design a little to fit my needs and this one is going to a smaller scale with a wheelbase around 11". Should be another fun, small buggy. More soon! |

Thanks everyone! Got a little bit more done on the chassis today. I need to change the links out, Shorten the front a hair and lengthen the rear. Wheelbase is about 11.5" right now. I also need to drop the hood down and shorten the front hoops a little. It is getting close. I was going to X out the doors and roof, but I think it is over kill and no one will ever see it anyway. |

Thanks guys! Didn't get a lot done today, but did cut the shock hoops out and redo them. They are shorter now and allow the hood to sit where is is suppose too. I also got the front shock mounting tabs on. I cut about a 1/4" out of the windshield piece (the parts that attaches to the hood). I think it helps the look on the front end. |

Thanks! Got a lot more done on the chassis in the last couple of days. Most of the nuts are brazed on for the body panels and a couple more support bars are in. I mocked up a 3 racing winch on the front and it is much too big so I decided to just tuck the front bumper up too the body. Im not happy with this current bumper though and am going to cut it off and make a hoop that follows the grill shape. Hopefully I can figure out how to bend it. After that I will just make a plate under the hood for a servo winch. A few things left on the chassis; new front bumper, light bar tabs, servo winch plate... and I think that is it. |
