Got some stuff done. Rims; Pro10 1.9 Steel Stamped Beadlock, Tires;Rock Crusher X/T 1.9 Got electronics installed Body kinda mocked on links redone, again. I really want to make it a one piece body. Not sure about the front body mount though. I dont want any post or pins in the hood. I kobbed one off the front of the frame into the hole in the bumper, you can see it in the first and last pics. Works ok, but Im still not likeing it.. Anyone got any ideas? |

I put holes in the bed and used factory mounts on rear shock hoops, ties in the rear cage/ tire carrier. Front is still a bent alum plate in the front bumper. Im finishing up the rock sliders and probably going to use holes in the doors to a mount on the sliders. Ill get better pics tonight. and post them.

Been on the fence with the super duty body, but I like the way yours looks probably cuz it's on a scx10 frame..

Thanks guys, I was gonna full speed into a 350 to Bronco conversion. But I stole some parts off my AX10 for this and I just couldnt have both trucks apart for too long. The bronco conversion is on "the body list" though.. I got some more done, dont think it will ever be completely done.... I 86'ed the body mounts in the doors, couldnt stand looking at them. The front mount is the rounded plate you can see in the front bumper, (shown in earlier pics) Rear body/cage mounts The cut out at front of the bed is for the batt, made a toolbox cover it. More Paint work You can see the toolbox covering the batt in this one. Looking good in the driveway I sent this pic to my sister, she and her hubby got mad cause they thought it was real and nicer than thiers... I think Im in the ballpark of $300 so far...Electronics, and trans are used... Last edited by The Jimmy James; 04-22-2013 at 05:34 PM. |
