I nearly doubled the flex by taking the coil springs out of the shocks

I've got the day off tomorrow, and I'm gonna wheel the balls off of it. I want to see how it stacks up against my other Tamiya Ford hardbodies, the XC, TA02 and the TLT/TTB rigs. Should be a fun day

Not entirely true. For the most part, you should only have one controller per motor, but I have ran two motors on one BL ESC in two of my planes in the past. One thing to make sure (at least in a plane) is to make sure the two motors have as close as possible the kv and resistance across the poles. If there is a discrepancy, then no go.

In a vehicle, any speed variance will probably lock a motor and cause damage to the ESC. Wouldn't recommend it.

Looks great Stu, maybe try a savage or hellfire bumper on for looks or try your hand at bending and brazing up a more scale deer buster?

It's perfect, except for the drag brake. You'll want to stay on the throttle a little if you want it to hold position. Other than that, it's the dog's danglies

I have gotten used to the drag brake on the Novak now. Its like running a "normal" motor again. I cant decide if it will go into the hilift or not.

Goat, this looks AWESOME. Good choice on the color and nice job on the details. The wheels look great too!

Nope. You unscrew the fancy diff covers, and insert a set pin into part of the diff to lock them. It takes a few minutes. Sweet trick.

can you shift gears on the fly or do you have to stop to shift?

I spent 4 hours thrashing it today, along with 3 other trucks, doing a head to head to head to head shootout to determine the 1.9 trail rig king. I put it up against my XC, TA02 and the TTB rig to represent the TLT homebrews. All had Ford hardbodies.

I compared them on a 132 foot dragstrip (aka my driveway), static artic, jumping, turning circle, climbing ability, onroad and offroad behavior and rock crawling. The F-350 came out on top.

Oh, and Cory? Despite flipping over during the jump test, the mirrors are still there

Slobin, with your R-1 you can shift on the fly. Assign Ch3 to one of the trim buttons and hit it up or down to shift, it grabs the next gear instantly.

No problem with the tranny at all. The one in my Mog uses the same gears and it's holding up just fine.

They are 1.9 tires, but the hexes are 12mm so you could put 2.2's on. However, there isn't much room between the tire and the body with a 2.2. Shodog on Scale4x4 put Imex 2.2 Claw Dawgs on (about the smallest 2.2 there is) and it looks pretty close.

What would look really good, though, is a set of NARROWED 2.2 Claws

EDIT: cant find the thread, can i get a link please!?
