New to scale building but wanted to make a mini me of my 1:1 jk

Scx10 frame
T-red 60 axles
Topcad 105mm shocks
Homeade 4 link and links
Proline 2 Dr jk
1.9 Ripsaw tires on Walker Evans rims
Atomik 35t motor with waterproof esc from eBay

Starting there and seeing where it goes.

There should be a picture of my 1:1 coming up soon. Its all Black on Black with blacked out windows. The rims on my JK are a black center with chrome lips that are real similar to the Walker Evans rims that come stock on the SCX10 Rubicon JK. I just added Bestop Highrock 4x4 front and rear bumpers on my 1:1 also so I put a proline on the 1:10 last night.

Ok.... Its almost complete. All the electronics are in. First picture is where the wheelbase used to be. Had to adjust the front a little shorter to correct the location in relation to the body. Also included a picture of my 1:1 so everyone could see the color scheme that I will be going with. Here is a list of the last few thing i did to finish it up.

Homeade 4-link bracket for the rear
Homeade Electronics plate
Homeade Lift/Lower shock mounts. (105mm shocks were too long so I had to lower it a little)
Used the RC4WD servo mount but drilled two small holes in the frame crossmember to mount the servo on the chassis for better clearance. (ill try to get a better picture of this tonight)
JunFac carbon Drive Shafts
7.2 Volt Ni-Mh 2000 battery
And to top it off I bought a cheap 2ch transmitter and receiver from HobbyKing for $19.99 that works just fine.

Only problem now is that the top speed is close to 25-30 mph which is a little too fast but could come in handy in certain situations. Let me know what you guys think.

First coat of paint is on. Time to remove the frog tape masking and lay down a coat of flat black to try and match the shade difference between the body and the top.

Got it mostly finished up. All i have left is convert the front to a 3-link instead of 4 link because I had to do a chassis mount servo and I have some crazy bump steer. Here is some action shots of testing it out in the front yard. Those rocks finally came in useful for something other than just looks.

Thanks Nappy. Here is a final Side by Side picture. Now I need to make a front bumper to match the 1:1 and eventually put a winch on both. I have a feeling this will only be my first scaler. Im already thinking about trying to make a Grand Cherokee that is like the 1:1 Grand Cherokee that I also own. I love my Jeeps.
