Cool build btw
If people are going to take the time to comment on my junk, the least I can do is reply to them. Actually, the least I can do is not comment, but that's rude. Thanks.

Nice one of a kind...work of art in progress.
I must've been sleeping too since I didn't know I became a styrene master. Thanks.

Not so much talent as it is time. Lots and lots of free time.

FJ builds are indeed best! It's all brazed. 3/16 tube with 1/8 rod inside for strength in key locations. Other places it's solid 3/16 rod. Trying to keep weight down low, but it's a lost cause with the thick styrene body. Oh well, I'd rather have a top heavy truck that looks sorta good than anything made from Lexan.

It's 950 degrees in the garage so I went back to doing bodywork in the air conditioned workshop. I got the cowl done and the hood cut to shape.

Killer as always dude, your sense of humor about this whole game is awesome. I remember reading you say you didn't have time to play with toy trucks one day, I still lol at that to this day whenever I think about working on rc cars.

Thanks. Happy to know you enjoy my take on toy trucks.

Although I had many distractions this weekend I was able to get a fair amount of work done on the truck.

Made this thing.

More work on the floor and the cage got more tubes.

Spare tire mount.

The rig I'm basing this off of had a super safe way to secure the tire so I'm doing the same.

It's getting there.

Friends.

Ha! It has a 3UR-FE with a 2F bolted to the top of it.

Sandblasted and ready for paint.

I may not be a professional metal cutting and brazing guy, but I think this junk turned out nicely.
