I thought you were supposed to run your toy trucks under water to clean the ozone, nitrogen and whatnot off the hard to get to parts. You know the stuff spraying it off with a hose wouldn't get!

Looks great, glad you ended up with it. It was my intention to do the same while I owned it but because of work and a new baby, I never even got it running let alone work on it. Too nice of a rig to be sitting in my garage collecting dust. It was an honor to have it in my possession none the less!

Thanks! No twist, just a complete restore to original condition. n00b is a proud Pappy.

Heh, many people are calling dibs. I feel like this one will stay here until it's time to go back to it's rightful owner.

Thanks sir. I'll give it a good home.

It didn't work because it's to painted blue.

I'm glad I could pick up where you left off.

Got a couple coats of paint on the body, and have got a few more steps to do and will update this weekend.

All done.

I hope that I've done n00b proud bringing his rig back to life. I ended up straying slightly from original and did a couple Jammer hooks instead of a winch. The one that came with it was a little junked up and I like the clean look up front now. Also considering putting a couple snowboards on top. Because winter.

This makes me feel so happy to see it restored. I had no doubt you could do it. Bravo!

This truck and the bottom of Lake Ontario have a date.

That came out great, I like it without the winch. That would be a cold ride to go snow boarding in, haha.

The first few pics are of the rig as it sits today, the rest are of the 1:1.

mr nOOb! my hats off to you for an INCREDIBLE rendition of a vehicle I built for a good friend. Unfortunately.... Marcus passed away over a ago and his family parted with the 55.

JUST before he died, I turned him onto this thread! I can tell you he was BLOWN AWAY with the detail! and as flattered as me!

the current owner of the 55 recently decided to part with it. there is a thread on PBB with more pics.

What a coincidence this thread got brought up again. The scale version just landed in Australia for the next chapter in the story. It's another friend of mine so I know it's going to be in good care and I'm good company with other nice tiny trucks.
You built an awesome looking vehicle and my condolences for the passing of your friend. The way the big one and the little one change hands they might just meet one day.

Until then, this thread now belongs to delux

Damn, I'd do just about anything to have the 1:1 and the 1:10th scale.
Judging by the license plate on the 1:1 that SWEET rig belongs back in Cali., Nor-Cal, Paradise, Ca.

I'm assuming you sold the rig to delux?

Yes, I sold it to delux. He's an excellent tiny truck guy and deserving of this beauty. There's a bit of seller's remorse, but at the same time, when you know it's going to a responsible dude, you know it's going to be okay.
