very cool man! can't wait to see what comes of this. While I like beating the crap out of the plastic body, it would be cool to be able to mount on a lexan shell too.

What if you move the shackle hanger forward a bit to get more angle on it?

the rig is bare if you look the gearbox is empty there is not enough weight to compress the springs so the shackles will be upright they should sit at a bit of an angle (if like a real rig) when loaded and ready to roll. its very nice, very scale, very much wanted Last edited by perfictsib; 10-06-2006 at 02:15 PM. |

Will it use the stock battery holder, or are you thinking of another alternative? Have I said I love this chassis enough? |

Diaz, how are the driveline angles on this chassis compared to stock? from the mock, up they look steep, but I could be wrong. Very nice work.

Ben, dont worry, the ds angles will be just fine. I have almost a flat belly on my f-350 and the ds angles are ok. The steel shafts have a ton of slip and dont bind very easily. On a second note, has anybody else noticed how high the motor sits above the chassis? Chassis looks great hope you get some done for sale. Sean |

The Drive Angle Should Be Fine. I Used The Stock Hole Pattern And Built The Frame Around Them I Can Also Lower It More If I Want

| Me want . That chassis looks almost too sexy to be true; and like everyone else, i thought the Hi Lift was already scale enough. Guess i was wrong Let us all know when these will go on sale Mr. Diaz, and count me in! |

I see a fairly major problem. In stock config, the front shackle is on the front. When the suspension is unloaded, the drive shaft is fully compressed. As the suspension depresses, the entire axle moves forward. With the shackles reversed, the axle is going to want to move back. If the axle is still in the same spot as it was with the shackle up front, that ain't gonna fly. Now, I've only had mine for about 5 hours now, but I just got done attaching the axles to the chassis when I noticed this. It's nice having internet in the garage. |
