The flex test with the actual wheel, tyre and final wheelbase!

If I never have to steer with a front wheel fully compressed I don't need to trim any of the front lower guards ... I need to trim the front lower guards, or reduce the compression - not sure.

The rear is perfect - there's maybe just a slight rub, for realism sake.

Thanks mate. Any advice from experience on what's going to fall off and should be CA'd or screwed etc? The grille fell off on the workbench. One of the headlights wasn't flush but pushed in and seems tight. Bumpers are screwed and tight. The bonnet latch has been a problem just on the bench. I've just shortened the body posts and it seems a little better.

Mirrors will be a problem. My bonnet won't stay latched any more

But over all it is a pretty tough body. I have beat mine a lot.

I broke knuckles and c hubs from a fall and the body was fine

I can't keep mirrors on it though.
Lets see some dirty action pics

First trail test run video - it needs a bit of weight up front ... and an interior and LED's, a Driver, etc etc.

Best shots from last weekends shakedown

This reminds me of the very first 1:1 Range Rover photo shoots

Here's a video from today's test and tune - there's not a lot more it needs handling wise except a bit of weight up front

Thanks, I'm glad they're watchable!

Funny you mention the painting - I only decided last weekend that I wouldn't do anything to the exterior for the time being. Everyone wants to see the interior in so that's the next stage. I only seem to get an hour or two a week to even look at it and I've been spending that time driving it

I love it! one idea you may be able to use, I fastened a spare tire under the rear of the chassis. It takes up space and fills the void for photos during articulation.

It just fastens right up to the back chassis plates with zip ties, it's a Tamiya rally tire, random from a TT-01 but it does a good job at filling the gap! it also pokes down and you can see it from the rear bumper view.

I have no pics of it, but you can imagine what it looks like. I'll snap a photo when I can.. sort of like this!

That's a great idea - thanks. I should be able to use one of the original wheels. I'll check it out.

The interior forms rear inner guards - which need painting matt black!, but there is still room for a spare tire

Got the grille in and the bonnet latch working.

The body comes off again next to fit the front inner guards - either the original set or a home made set in front left of the photo off my Honcho.

This looks good where did you get the body? Is there a Range Rover body anyone has used?

Oh, that interior solves the "hole" problem.. get it.. hole. Anyway, It looks great, I wonder if some of that rubberized undercoat spray might be good in there. You can get it cheap at an automotive store. That way it wouldn't chip at all. I used it on my frame and it's held up amazing.

and yes, there is a Range Rover you can get, but they are extremely rare now. Here's mine!

Nice build, keep it up! I love the interior, it makes my new bright look a little "Cartoony"
