Default LR3 on a SCX10

This is my new project now the Honcho is dialed in to my liking.
This LR3 body mounted and lit up on a SCX10 Dingo kit.

I bought the LR3 a year ago. I ordered Black and Red arrived. The supplier didn't want the hassle of getting it back so it cost next to nothing.

As for the body I'll paint the matte grey - maybe a close matched red or something in contrast, not sure yet. Got an Axial Night Vision kit. The full interior will hopefully stay.

It'll run stock running gear with a HH motor, probably 45T and a re-worked shock/spring setup so it sits low but get's SCX10 flex. Got raw 1.9 Vanquish SX-3's and have no idea on tires yet

I have one of those!

its a great body,I love all the details.
I was able to keep most of the interior,I had to cut it a bit of it away to clear the tranny.
I also had to make custom links to make the wheelbase correct.
it was no big deal, and worth it it is a great truck

The Dingo body will probably get a coat of paint - I'm excited about the flared guards, always wanted a set.
Also got a new Axial 55 turn motor coming for now since I can't find a Holmes Hobbies 45 turn Torque Master Pro anywhere.

I've been looking for wheels - couldn't find anything I liked or suitable in 1.55 or 1.7's so I'll have to use my 1.9 VP's with these - they're only 95mm diameter.

Looks good, I love lr3 builds. I have 3! I use the rock creepers on my six-10new bright rover, they look great!

*edited note: I think Six-10 is a spelling mistake, I don't know what I meant by that. But now that's what this rover is called because it sounds cool

Check it out with the creepers, I added a photo for you to reference

Cool - did you flip or mirror the motor/tranny or use the stock location

First check of the wheelbase with the body. Will wait for the tires before going any further with the body mounts.

It's sitting higher at the front because the motors not in it !!!!!!!!!

A bit more done - once I have the tires on these weighted VP rims I can put the lowering kit on the shocks mounts and then start lining up the body.

Looking good. I did not mirror my tranny.

I like the direction you are going, with the smaller 1.9 tires. I love my iroc's, but did not realize how huge they were.
They work great. Just huge

I know what you mean - I had super swampers on the 1.9's. Same size as the 2.2's I'm running on my Honcho now.

Here's the final wheelbase in full droop and full lift. Surpised how much the front shrinks from lift to droop. I'm probably going to be cutting the front wheel arch/bumper to integrate something metal so the clearance at full droop isn't an issue.

The body's now mounted on all four corners with body pins. Up front under the bonnet and down back = unfortunately through the roof. I got impatient/lazy.

FULL DROOP

FULL LIFT

Here's a video of the maiden outdoor test run

The 27T motor, wheels and tyres are just temporary.
The lift is from lots of pre-load, hence stiffness - trying to minimise body rub.
