Default The Night fury, Norwegian version. (Southern buggy)

Got lucky and bought this chassis from Warren here on Rcc.
First thing, the tig work on this frame is just incredible
I have now finaly had the time to finish this build, it will have it,s maiden voyage next weekend at the Norwegian TTC event. (pics to come)

As Warren said in his build thread, everything is a tight fit in this chassis and there is not a lot of place to put things. The only thing different from
Warren,s build is that I have fitted a winch under the hood in front of
the battery.

There are Axial axels with 300,s and some other goodies.
CC Sidewinder and Bec.
Holms 35T
Hitech 7950
Bulldog winch
and a spectrum radiosystem.

All elecronics have been Plasti dip,ed because the TTC mainly happens under water

The rig was really good, I was afraid that the short travel on the front axel would be a problem but it was not.

Here is a link to some videoes of the comp :

So this weekend we had another TTC comp in Norway. 13 racers, 6 courses + a show,n shine voteing
Here are the aspiering drivers and the cars before the start.

Now for my day in this comp.
It started out with a 3rd place in the Show,n shine contest. I,m happy with that result.

Then the real racing started with the Tow test.
I ended up as #5 in this and it was wery close, only one driver/car was a lot better then the rest here.

We raced on to the Hillclimb, here I got lucky and won. Not by much but i won :-)

On to the Frame twister, and here ..... disaster struck !! I got maybe 1 gate in to the course and a hexpin broke :-( Well no big problem, I got
my tools and spear parts, fixed the broken pin and as the car was on its back I had to winch it over to the wheels. Should not be a problem but
my winchline snapped and I had to realize that it was over. After 2 gates :-( I ended up 13nd and last.

After a break with some hotdogs,a coke and some coffe it was time for the Obstacle course, and again I managed to get to the top of the list #1 :-)

Ok, now the race really gets dirty with the Mudpit. Put in 6S and pulled the trigger, got through and ended at #3. Happy :-)

And for the great finale it was the dreaded Tanktrap ! I started after 3 or 4 cars that brokedown very early in the stage, but it was also on driver
that managed to get to the finish line so it was possible :-) Well I set of and every thing worked great... until I was about halfway and in to the
sticky mud. Got stuck one time, winchen it out. Drove maybe 1/2 a meter and then ... FIRE !! Flames shoot out of the motor and it was all over :-)

Ended up as #2 total so I am very happy with the result, if only it had not broken down in the Frame twister ... :-)

Here is what the motor looked like after the fire.
