Default Plan B.

With our annual TTC comp only 22 days away, it was time to build something to run with. My first tubechassi ( Herbie gone TTC ) was almost ready but was not quite the way I wanted it so something had to be done.. So i started building.

The chassis begins to take shape. Axial gearbox and Novak motor in place ..

Here waterproof radiobox and some scala parts in place and almost complete chassis ..

The chassis finished painted and assembled. Now it needs bodypanels, some interior and a driver. Cut some 2.2 Bogger down to 1.9 og mounted them on some RPP rims. 4-link in the rear and 3-link in front.

And suddenly there was competition day. First test run is done here ..

The car worked perfectly and I ran into a 5th place. And for the future I may build a new chassis to reduce weight. I found 3.65 kg is too heavy .

Then it was time to let this Jeep go. I felt i was a little to heavy and maybe a little to long wheelbase so i took out the drivetrain and buildt a new chassi. Kept this simple with a scx frame and some tubework ontop.
Chopped the roof of a Son of a digger body and there it was. Took two weeks to build and was finished today, only three days until the next TTC comp..

Thanks guys. Now we have run the TTC and the car was doing great. I run the whole comp without any issues. Won Show'n shine, Frame twister and the Mud pit course but two big driver errors sendt me down to 3' place. Now I'm considering upgrading the motor. Novak 18.5T on 3 and 4 cell works fine but sometimes i miss more wheelspeed so a Rock 412 2100 Kv is on the list.

Some pic's from the comp.

All drivers and their cars. Me with the red caps..

Show'n shine..

Tow test.

Hill Climb. First drivermistake, hit the boundery.

Frame Twister.

Obstacle course.

Mud Pit.

Tank trap. 2' driver error. Hit a hole and rolled out of course.
