I always wondered what that would look like and how well it would work. Thanks for posting. It looks about as bad as I imagined. |

| Re: Crawler Innovations "Top Shelf" Ultra 4 6 months later and this little rig is running strong. I swapped the savox steering servo out for a Hitec WaterProof version. I also changed the tires back to 1.9 Rock Beasts and Deuce's Wild Foams. The tire & foam combo work amazing for general use. The Rock Beast cleans out much better than the Mad Beast (IMO). In an effort to avoid failures during a competition, I installed some RRP goodness: Installed: |

| Re: Crawler Innovations "Top Shelf" Ultra 4 If you have ever been separated from your rc group, while in the woods at night, with nothing but the lights of your RC car to use, and you had to stop driving the rc car and carry it, to make sure you have enough battery to power the light to illuminate your hike back (this happened to me)... or Attended a RECON G6, forgot your personal head lamp, got separated once again from your RC group, and your trying to find course flags from 30 feet away in the dark using only your standard pathetic RC car lights (this also happened to me)... Then I highly recommend: I went ahead and bought (Yes I paid for them, I am not sponsored) four MORE light bars at the RECON G6 in Missouri. Top Shelf received the first light bar and wow what a difference! I'm only running it on 9 volts! They can handle 12.6 volts Although these light bars are spendy, as the saying goes... you get what you pay for and these MORE LED light bars are top quality. Couple pics out on the rocks: A quick shout out to the chassis builder Casey C. and kudos to him for an excellently built chassis. The small details and solid link geometry separate the pros from the rest. I am so thankful this rig resides in the C.I. garage. |

Thank you once again to my tire sponsor, Pitbull Tires for my new set of 1.9 Growlers. I didn't waste anytime getting them installed on Top Shelf. These tires are the same basic size as the proline TSL SX XL 1.9 tire and I'm using the Deuce's Wild SX XL foam in the rear pair. The front pair has a proto type dual stage closed cell foam. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

| Re: Crawler Innovations "Top Shelf" Ultra 4 I ran two battery packs tonight. One at a local park on various terrain and the other was on the rocks at the CI Compound. The first pair of proto front foams were too big and had too much rebound. I installed a smaller inner and that helped. I hope to do some more testing tomorrow. The Deuce's Wild pair in the rear are working perfect. Pitbull makes great tires, and this one is just another great option. The 1.55" version of this tire is awesome and I know this tire will surprise me as well once the foams are dialed.
