Thats pretty cool looking jeep . Looks like a pavement princess lol with those big rims . I have a cage idea floating in my brain but keeps changing all the time . Going to be keeping the back seat in for resale value and the air conditioning when it gets a motor swap . The more I try to drop this body onto the frame the harder it is going to be to get the axial tranny up front and room for a battery, esc ,servo , everything has to fit under the hood and that sucks !

I did get that metal rack with it could be an idea or bolt the roof rack onto the roof and keep the cage naked . Have a few ideas floating around like a bikini top for it and some scale goodies . It needs to come down lower still wish my r3 didnt break on the out put shaft or I would have used that and locked it into first that would have saved alot of clearance issues for the tranny. And made more space for everything else under the hood . I really want the dinky divorce kit if they every come out with it again . Thanks for looking and the comments and input

Ill take pic tomorrow to show you what there is for space in the rear lol literally a small 12 inch sub box is all there is for room back there. I think I have a trick or 2 still ........ maybe

So I didnt do much on the jeep tonight . Took the dremel to the skid and lowered the transfer case down so the body sits lower and chaned the pits out or some 4.5 inch tall super swampers on mayhem 7's looks not to bad but I will be running the the tsl sx xl on this rig soon as my lhs has them. In the first pic took the dremel and took the raised part off the the skid to get more body clearence

Started working on a roll cage for this bad boy using 1/4 brake line for all the major structure and 3/16 for small cross bracing

Thanks its just tacked together at the moment its nice and straight so far lol have to make cage mounts for the rear and front hoops still , the middle uses existing holes with 3m screw welded in the end of the tube

Well didn't have a whole lot of time to work on this tonight but I did get the rear cage lower supports in . I was going to put a bunch of other supports in but after doing what I did tonight I felt like it was finished. So only thing to complete is grab handles up front and some cage brackets for the front and rear to mount it to the body. Here's a few pics .

For head clearance on the rear seat . I wanted to keep the cage as low as possible for cog reasons . I will have to weigh the cage and see what it weighs now that its almost done . it was like 5.4 oz's last time I checked but that was 5 or 6 tubes ago lol

thanks its my cleanest work to date lol its straight and sits perfectly on the body . will be fabbing up tube bumpers to go along with the rest of it . thought about putting the rc4wd jeep bumper on it but i think that my wheels will hit it on full stuff . still unsure on what to build for a front bumper i want to protect the body but want it to look different then my jk brute truggy i built . heres a pic of my brute truggy


I like the look of the front of the truggy but I wanted to keep the fender flares on the new jeep cause its street legal lol for the moment anyways

Here is a couple body on chassis pics I will need to shorten the rear wheelbase up to fit the fender well . When I work on the chassis I am going to make new shock mounts on all 4 corners to drop the ride height down and I may use the 70 mm king shocks in the rear I have layin on the bench
