I too am thinking the G2 as you, but also have scx10's that could take this.

thank you I think the g2 would have been very easy to mod for this body . The scx10 chassis I decided to use anyways for this project was alot harder to figure out for placement of the drive train and electronics . I will have updates soon for this build soon just making a tranny mount and servo mount . have to start with the servo mount and work back to make sure there is enough room for all of it .

Thanks . You won't be sorry for picking up one of these bodies. They blow the
nikko and new bright jeeps out of the water and size wise I love it . I just hope it wheels as well as I hope . Time will tell

Sell that crap ass NB body and get one of these!!!! Mine came in today and its super nice and very strong plastic!!! Only thing I don't like is the seats don't come out they will need to get cut

Yes unfortunately the bottom of the seats is part of the molded body tub .but if your going for scale they work fine . If your going for a comp look it would be easy to cut them out and flat pan the floor front and rear for custom seats . This body rocks . Would be awesome to see it I a 4 dr version as well

Ok got home today from work and decided to put so work into the jeep . I used an axial receiver box for a gas tank just to keep it real . And then I decided to tackle the servo mount and front body mount. Kind of a pain in ass but its done .

So built a very simple tranny mount it goes from the bottom of the frame rail on the driver side to the top of the passenger side frame rail . It was enough of an angle that it keeps the tranny in between the the outside frame rails so doing my shock towers and inner fender wells alot easier here are a few pics of under the hood with the tranny , battery and servo in their respective spots

Yes the business has been taking alot of time lately so havent worked much on it but day dream lol .I will be working on this rig Saturday this weekend coming up so excited about that . I will post some new pics saturday night . Ya found a set of tube doors I liked so gonna run with that design . Thanks for the bump by the way . Until saturday gentlemen and ladies

Well its been a while since I touched this rig but finally finished the roll cage up and painted it gun metal . Started on some tube doors heres what I got so far

I think im gonna stick with what I have fabbed up so far. the only thing I might do is change the tranny mount some more . I was doing a battery mock up again and its gonna be really hard to get batteries in and out of the firewall location . Im not sure how I thought it was gonna work before but as of last night not so much. The dinky kit would solve all of my issues for sure But they are never in stock when I have the money for them .

Well I have come up with a few other options flipping the tranny upside down gets the spur gear out of the way letting a larger access point to get the battery in and out on the fire wall . Moving the tranny farther back and mounting the battery farther up is another option I have been playing with . I have been working a new job so been away from home for 3 months now but gettin a month off here so I will have some updates real soon.

Thanks jez for comments . I am using a little mig I picked up for cheap and running a .030 flux core wire . Small wire for small welds keeps you from blowing holes in the tube and keeps clean up to a minimal. Cheers guys
