Very nice looking Tundra, I'll be watching the transformation to the Hilux. Save that Tundra body.

| Re: Tamiya Tundra/Hilux Long Bed Build Thanks very much I wanted to go for a more understated look with the Tundra. More of a work vehicle than a show winner. I'll be giving the Body to my Big Brother and I'll be making sure he takes care of it ;)

| Re: Tamiya Tundra/Hilux Long Bed Build Haha sorry :( I would like to get the High Lift to a nice standard as a scale crawler. But I've no Idea how to start on making a 4link rear end Very little support over here(Ireland) for the hobby. I haven't been able to find any good comprehensive guides to making a 4 link online either(what do you have to buy? And where do you buy? Besides JunFac) I would give my right leg for a Raptor chassis If anyone has any links for good scale looking High Lift Build, that would be great |

This is the first time I've heard of someone extending a hilux bed. Usually people get the bed bobbed. Anyways looks great. |

| Re: Tamiya Tundra/Hilux Long Bed Build Thanks for all the comments guys. Yeah I was thinking of bobbing because 70% of the bobbed hiluxs I see on Google Images are based on the Longer bed. The only reason I can think why theyd go for longer wheelbase, is for going up or down steep slopes |

Hi guys, Loads done to the Hilux since last post. Made my own Custom 4 Link setup. Shouldve have been the first thing I ever did to it. To say massive improvement is an understatement. 90mm RC4WD dual spring shock(keep it scale) R2 tranny, Junfac front steering kit(done my way), Cut the bed back a bit(better looking stance) and fiberglassed it(tough as... ) Not sure what to do next. Dove the nose and tail? [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

2 years later... time for a quick update Sold the tundra chassis, went as far as I could with it scale wise. Bought an SCX10 Rubicon I kept the old Tamiya Body, diceded to do a little restoration... She is now a Bobbed AND Doved longbed Hilux and I couldnt be happier with the porprtions The Rad Core is custom(gotta be careful doving thos grills) |

Looks good. I know the I go through trucks more than using them, so it's cool to see someone in it for the long haul!
