Looks good but I think I would run 1.5 rims with some pit bull growlers. Just my two cents.

Too late, I already bought the 1.9 tires haha. Maybe in the future. I wish I had thought about that since 1.55" wheels would be about an 18" wheel (if you consider that this body is really about 1/12 scale) and the wheels I have on the truck are 17"s. |

Gotten a little bit done on this thing lately. Printed these bad boys out for a rear bumper. I'll get pictures soon of it on the truck. And then I printed this half-wheel to test fit the backspacing (its just the hex mounting surface and the front face). I made some adjustments and printed an entire wheel out today, so it's in its final bath to remove the support material and I will hopefully test fit it tonight. If it's good, I'll print out 4 of them with a finer resolution (smoother) tomorrow Once they're printed, I'll hit them with some filler primer to smooth the lines out a bit and then paint them silver to match the 1:1. |

Got the whole wheel printed off finally. The other 3 will be done by tonight so hopefully I can paint them before the weekend (no guarantees on updates though, gotta prep for the truck show - will update next week for sure). And here is is on the truck. The angle doesn't show it but they narrow the track width almost a half inch, which is very significant visually. |

Thanks! Here's the rear bumper picture I promised, complete with removable shackles. And here's the 1:1 for comparison Other than the fact that I had to make the scaler's a bit taller to cover the original rear bumper mounting holes, I think they match pretty well. |

Been a while since my last update. Where'd the rear axle go??? :P Oh, there it is. Are those leaf springs??? Heck yes! I wanted to go with leaf springs for two reasons. 1] It's more like my 1:1 truck (shackle in compression, and all) and 2] the rear links were shortened to make the wheelbase fit within the hard body and the geometry was off, giving me WAY too much anti-squat and making it perform poorly. It handles SOO much better now and I've even clocked the axle up so that the driveshaft angle is good. I will be giving it some blocks and a anti-wrap bar to raise the rear level with the front but for now it works really well and I'm super happy with it. Oh yeah, and I made a spare tire carrier for the bumper |

Yeah the sliders hold up really well. The spare tire mount is probably the weakest part, but you'll have that seeing as they're only .2" in diameter and plastic. I've printed it in the "strongest" direction, so while it flexes a lot, it should never break off. Time will tell though.

| Re: 2001 Silverado 1:1 Replica So I decided to make these beadlocks. I have an inner ring (it's basically a 3 piece wheel) made of steel to add extra weight. I like the way the black beadlock ring looks more, but the silver ring is more scale so I'm going to stick with that. Once the inner rings are painted (they were machined steel), I will put tires on all 5 wheels and take a picture of the rig with them on. |
