I cut a square hole the size of the batt connector on the bottom of the tsc box and use wire loom to protect the wires. It's nice to be able to snake it through should you need to tear down without desoldering.

Yours is a better idea, I had forgotten about wire loom as a protector, than you sir.

I had a hole cut out in the TF2 Joe....not sure there's a pic of that though. I think I shrink wrapped it instead of wire loom. I think either one will work well. I want to seal the opening on the tool box...liquid tape comes to mind...something that's removable....

my project is done at work
I plan on being sick tomorrow...

Yup, 4 month project due on the 20th...I was only 5 days late. Had to work a lot of overtime the last week or so...I'm worn out

But the weekend started today...back to this build in the morning.

I got to spend some quality time on this today....

Finished the front axle XRmod....

Front track width is 9.5"
The rear is 8.85"

Also cut a hole in my tool box...to accommodate the battery plug. The black is liquid tape..my first attempt at softening the sharp edge

Then I thought of some silicone....then I'll paint it with some chrome paint

We have a roller

I took warren's advice on the outboard shocks...seem to put a little stress on the rear, it was quite stiff actually and too tall. I had some 3.5" big bores so I swapped them out and laid them down a bit, brought it down considerably...

I will probably put an additional spacer at the top mount, should loosen it up a bit.

I'm liking this....a lot

I did mine a little differently. I punched a hole in the bottom of the box large enough for my connector to fit through. I then wrapped foam tape around the hole to protect the wires. I then shoved the esc end into the box. I can make the connection in the box. No more taking the body on and off. I'll add the photo's to my build tomorrow.

I like that front axle, glad it worked out for you.
