Actually the splined beef tubes needed some more modification before it worked. Once I had the c-hub hammered on the tube assembly was too long for my axle shafts. I had to take some more off the lip between the spline and the tube and shorten the tube about an 1/8 ". We modify stuff to make it work, that's what we do Bottom line, I think this axle is better than the first one I built...

Couldn't find the metallic blue I wanted at the LHS but the cobalt jumped out at me....plus I'm going to have to hack the front of this a bit...the tires don't clear, but I expected that....haven't figured out where to put the rear lights either.

I agree something with a black rim and chrome ring would be perfect!! And tail lights would be sweet tucked in the top corners of the cage against the cab.

seeing the shocks on there now I think my gmades have a little more swivel in the ball on top. I think that's why I can get away with the out board set up. I assumed the big bores had the same amount of movement in the shock cap. the cobalt blue should look good as well. sucks you couldn't find your first choice of color. makes you have to pick a different one on the spot. it's looking good greg. keep up the good work. |

I have an interior...came out pretty good....splinter got hacked up quite a bit, and he lost his feet and most of his butt, but I got him to fit. He is a bit heavy though. Everything is drying out there, shoo goo, paint, ca glue...so no pictures today But is should have pictures tomorrow early.... Now, if I could only fix my statement under my avatar I would be happy. I certainly don't want to be anybody else but me...Especially "Dave".... I had to buy another star today....and it reset...I think I met Dave once... |

I like your wheels, get your de-greaser out and lighten the rings. Can't wait to see the interior. I'd be happy to shop for your paint color up here if you haven't shot her yet. |

Just checked it out at the 'Clanker cave.. she's lookin good. Was about to pick up the body when I remembered the motto during adhesive application: "Don't fawkin touch it." The truggy back is a work of art, there's some experience behind how that cage looks. Makes me wanna scrounge up some cheddar for a c3 version...hmm..... |

| Re: Clanker's Hillux truggy---WTFab chassis NOOOOOOOOO Zombie, I couldn't even come close to that work of art. That belongs to Warren at WTFab. He's a blue star vendor on here and takes great pride in his work as you can see. He builds a full chassis version that is out of this world....I'm saving some coin for one for class 3 build. This was his first attempt at a class 2...hence the SCX10 rails. I think he did an excellent job. |

I got some paint, an interior, and an axle issue... Off to some pics: I have one of these dogs and I found it in the doll house for about $2.50...couldn't pass it by Not crazy about adding anything to the rear of this truck...seems a waste of good looking stainless. But I have to have the pull pall for the winch. |

Some more: Really like the stance Tried a battery in the front yard...found I had a short axle on one side....but I had a replacement....problem solved. Runs good, turns exceptionally well....time to go buy some more "greased lightning" and strip those rings down. |

Buddy of mine came by this morning, and we braised some tube for his truggy...my old chassis. He picked up this Yota rig and wanted a pick or two next to mine... Thought I'd share that |

Amazing rig! Looks perfect in pictures but in person it's so much better!! Why don't you save your self some time and run your unimog rims? |

| Re: Clanker's Hillux truggy---WTFab chassis Thanks Tyler....actually it's a lot more work to switch the foams and about 300 little screws...I'd rather strip these rings
