It works great. Keeps the weight forward and with the spare tire and cage in the back its well balanced. The only issues I had was using a Slash u-joint on the t-case caused the short drive shaft from the trans to the t-case was causing a bind and popped the shaft off at the trans. I replaced the slash joint with an Axial joint and haven't had any more issues. So far its been a blast to drive.

Thanks man. I wss able to take my time on this since I didn't have an instant budget to bu a bunch of parts right away. Thete were a number of evenings when working on it entailed just sitting and stareing at it.
I have a Cherokee bodied SCX10 that has been my go to rig for about 3 years. I think this one has replaced it. it does so well in 95% of what I point it at. The only place it has a hard time is on a steep climb. The short wheel base is a hinderance. Otherwise its great.

Glad it paid off in the end and works. I've had a TJ body hanging in my hobby room for some time now and seeing yours and a couple others on here really need to get a chassis built for it. Heck I drive an '04 TJ everyday and most of my crawlers are Toyotas, lol.

Got my head light and tail lights hooked up. Using a RC4WD Bulldog winch controller I am now able to turn my lights on and off remotely. Im pretty stoked!

I didn't like seeing all the wires and electronics from the side of the front fenders so I made some inner fenders from some .020 styrene.

Final Parts

Installed

I just need to splash a little paint and they're done

Kudos for all the actual build thread I just went through, very detailed and excellently executed ideas. PS I'm borrowing that's Trans mount.

When i got my TJ body it didn't have any shifters so i thought I'd go a bit of a Rat Fink style on some new ones.

It's a little tale when you can see it over the dash bar.

Ive had this rig on the trail for about a year now and its been doing awesome. Its a blast to drive. It handles very similar to a 1:1 TJ.
A friend had a set of RC4WD Raceline wheels I couldn't pass up but when I put them on the rest of the rig didn't do them justice so it was redo time......

The Stock SCX10 Rims

New Racelines

AAAAAAAAND NEW PAINT!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a great scale rig. Myth did a great job on this guy. only one thing left to add to make it even more scale.
