KC's 2014 RC4WD ECSC 2DOOR JK Time for a fresh start for 2014. I've been brewin on a few ideas for a while now and its time make it happen over the winter months. This build as usual will be detailed and slow but updates will come and I hope yall enjoy. Gonna take a few things I've learned over the past few builds and make changes to make it better. The past few weeks have been researching motivation and I've found it. I hope this build is as good as it sounds in my head. Gonna try to keep this one at the 8lb mark. We shall se if that becomes a reality.. my builds always seem to end up at 10lbs for some reason. Been gathering parts now and its time to make a "well that's the plan" list China 2 door jk-check Scx frame rails-check Lots of my custom tube work-in process Tekin roc412 3100-check Tekin rs esc-check Hitec 7990th:shock:-check Supershafty built 3" kyosho velvet shocks. mmm yummy-check Superahafty bomb proof dinky gr7-check Supershafty bomb proof dinky split skid-check Carter fab fully custom built axles- waiting on CFM Grip fab arb spools -check HD overdrive front-check HD stock rear- check Mayhem remachined trailready 1.9's-sexy-check Tsl xl tires with CI single stage closed cell foams Will add more as I think of them.. stay tuned. |

re: KC's 2014 RC4WD ECSC 2DOOR JK Well getting to the body work portion first. And with a razor blade and a little patience I got the drivers side done. Rear fenders removed and comp cut http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...104_051941.jpg Front fenders removed. http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...104_051948.jpg Front grill trimmed for tire clearance. And it looks kool. Seen it on a pirate4x4 build so its legitimate. http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...104_052825.jpg Got the rockers trimmed up as well. http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...104_052639.jpg Here's about the over all look I'm going with. Wb is roughly 12.5 http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...104_183425.jpg |

re: KC's 2014 RC4WD ECSC 2DOOR JK Got my supershafty kyosho velvet shocks all assembled tonight. And I must say at first I was actually a little intimidated by these shocks they came with soooo many parts. But reading the direction it was pretty straight forward, but these shocks are built and bled from the bottom side of the shock, wich is different than any other shock I've ever used. The design charactaristics of these velvet shocks are top notch and make servicing and bleading a breeze. Hole to hole extended length for mine are 3 1/4" and compressed is 2 1/2". 3/4" of travel will provide the perfect amount of articulation for this build. Some of yall may know, I'm not a flex junky so these will be perfect. The 1/18 mt springs fit these great along with rc4wd dual rate springs coupled with jeepindoug spring cups for unlimited tuning options. Here's a pic of them finally assembled with 40wt oil. http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/o...115_203454.jpg All my axle parts are boxed up and getting mail to clay carter in the morning. Prolly gonna finish the body work this weekend and get some tube on order. Thx for looking. |
