I got the bodies back from Steve and they are PERECT! Thank you Steve. Issue now is that the chassis is out of symmetry. I am going to get the white body mounted up for scale nationals, but after scale nats I am going to do a rebuild on the chassis. It may be possible to tweak the chassis back to being pretty close (symmetry wise) but I think a custom build may be in my future. Something so that the chassis is built around the body to hug all the lines perfectly. So ... now accepting applications for people that do chassis builds. |

Frustrated tonight. Rear hoop (the large hoop) had been knocked way out of whack I guess. Tried to repair it but so many joints & complex bends makes it impossible to get right by repair/rebend. Decided to say fudge it and will make a new rear hoop down the road. In the interim I have a small cross brace with legs down to the frame, so it almost looks like I just cut off the top of the hoop. So that is that till after nats. Then I tried to get the body to sit down properly with the inner cage in place. I had to start reworking the inner cage ... which is made of dry spaghetti, I swear. Broke 2 joints on it and decided it will have to be remade. Glad I don't feel rushed or anything ... Going to pick up more tube tomorrow and redo the inner cage from scratch. Maybe I'll redo the rear hoop while I am at it sine it is probably all going to have to be stripped and repainted again. ugh. Last edited by Locked Up; 04-06-2014 at 06:54 PM. |

Talking with Patrick, we both wanted to see the Jero running again. I offered to redo the main hoop since he cut off for whatever crazy reason he had. Patrick wanted the hoop to match the cab symmetry. Used 3/16 solid rod for mock up. Will being 3/16 brake line for the final main hoop. Using updates as motivation. Thanks Eric! I had cut it off because the PO had lent it to "someone" that drove it off a cliff and bent the shit out of it. I'm going to assemble the bead locks for it this weekend .... still not sure if I should go with the Adversaries or what but ... we will see! |

Ha HA, that guy who drove it off a cliff...... Should have left it all bent up, like I said, it gave it character and a realistic look. And, a lot less work to make it a runner since it drove fine all beat up and bent. Nice job on the resurrection, I really liked this rig when I had it. |

Eric is still fighting with the rear main hoop! I believe he had to buy an whole new brazing setup because it was giving him fits. |

I finally got the main hoop done. Patrick asked to add braces. I also had to redo the shock towers as the original ones interfered with main hoop. I used carter fab captured fab tabs. Need to weld them in. Need to have upper link riser tabs made and then lots of clean up work. I threw on my rock beast XL's. I'm liking on here. Chassis is totally stripped and a huge thanks to Clay Carter for blasting it clean for us. Rear hoop looks great Eric! After painting the chassis, I'll have to look into re creating the inner cage. I'm excited to see this one starting to come back together. |

Finally laying down some paint on the cage ... but of course we are predicted to have 8 days of constant thundershowers. Grrrrrrrrrr. Decided to go with flat black for everything so that touch ups are easy. Last edited by Locked Up; 05-29-2017 at 10:12 AM. |

Like the Bitch su mishi body and mod of it , dont make it look like my first 4x4 the L 200 but still fine. We so need more choice in bodies for our little cars. I think at this place in time it dosent even matter what body you make, people are so tired of the same old same old and will pick up just about anything new.
