Laid down the base coat, I'm liking the gunmetal, might just leave it matte grey,

Thinking about a nice blue or light gray-silver two tone now, the cast iron looks green in pics , also wondering if there's a better method of cutting new door lines , was planning on painting door lines with flat black but my hands shake pretty bad, any ideas would be appreciated

what if you comp cut the doors to follow the inner cage, and do away with the door handles, and just left the body smooth? would give it that custom sheet metal/fiberglass bodied look.

just my $0.02

there are some companies that make detailing pinstripes for rc bodies for body lines. they are ridiculously thin. like 1/2 a mm.
just a thin vinyl strip sticker on a roll.
great part is if you screw up you just peel it off and try again. or replace it as necessary down the road.

Thanks guys, I'm still kinda stuck on where to start with the interior and I keep thinking it would be nice to have a top for those rainy days....

As long as the primer you laid down wasn't the factory crap from the early 80's you'll be good I had a gorgeous 84 silverado that the paint just went to crap cause of that shitty primer.

If I end up keeping this one the paint won't have time to fall off, it'll be scraped off one end at a time, and I hear ya on the 80s gm paint, my buddy's mom had an 89 re Camaro that was garaged it's whole life, she took it to the local drive thru car wash one time.... It came out the other end bare primer on every flat surface lol... My buddy still has the car and the recall sheet saying gm would pay $1500 to re paint it,

Thanks bud, I'm thinking I'll run a bright yellow or green or blue pinstripe between the silver and grey... Idk I might just pull a boosted and run a purple stripe down it!
