Hey Will, is this going to sit alot higher then stock? I am guess 2.2s are going on eh? I cant wait to see it done, I dont think anyone else has done a 4link yet. Keep up the good work "thumbsup"

im 4 linking the rear of mine,if i like how it turns out....i might stick with it and 4 link the front as well..

and yes, I need it higher because it's getting 2.2's with All-T tires. That'll keep the transfercase in the air!!

Because the transfercae sits so low it allowed the plate to drop low for link mounting.

on the rear, looks like the rear top links need to be longer and the bottom shorter to help with the pinion angle. its looking great though.

well,i got the rear of mine 4 linked,didnt have to drill or mod anything really,just used some TLT parts,and a mix of the highlift parts,it works good though,just need to figure out the shocks...there the only thing limiting flex,which i might jsut leave them,since the flex is a ton better then stock,but still somewhat scale looking....heres the pics,yes i know i need to adjust the links up abit more to get the wheelbase centered again,i just got lazy and my hands hurt from doing this all morning long LOL

i so far,havent cut,or modified anything to the stock chassis,just moved things around a tad,i used existing holes,and so far it works good,i need to play around with the link length,once i get it hammered down for sure,ill make my own links and sleeve em so there pretty...but so far,im impressed,if you notice the body scars...thats cuz this baby goes places it wouldnt before! and hell,i havent even raised the trans yet!

1 thing though is the links being short and high is your wheelbase wiill make drastic changes upon compression, a longer more paralell set of links have less wheelbase length effect. I had tested similar to yours and found out.

yeah i know,its kinda bad right now,its just a setup i was playing with,once i have the stuff to make more links,im going to equal length all of them to try and avoid the "axlesteer"

What are you using for springs? The ones inside the shocks?

yup,lmao they work great,i regreased the insides of the shocks,and they even provide damping,as well as support the truck,i couldnt beleive it!

Your "axlesteer" will be a factor when both upper and lower links are not triangulated opposite each other. Length differences in upper and lower will affect pinion angle and axle steer is worse the more the difference in length is. Link seperation between uppers and lowers will dial in squat or anti-squat in the suspension. These are general "ideas" of how to set up 4 links but there is a ton of in depth info on the net on how to design 4 links to perform how you want. Not steping on toes, just throwing some ideas out there for ya.

If you want a 4-link, go with a TLT.

5 inches of flex,i call BS. not from the stock suspension setup...and yeah the things fun in its ownright,but it also sucks at almost everything it does....no ground clearance,no flex,best thing going for it is lockers,and the 3spd,thats it in my book.

and no offense what do you think this thing is? ist just a rebadged version of a TLT,just beacause tamiya gave it leafs,a 3spd,and a hardbody...and a 400 dollar price tag...doesnt make it anymore special i nmy book

i was just going to say that....ive seen his thread...and it mentions no leaf springs....pot...kettle...black perhaps?

and while the front looks to still have leaves,it doesnt flex worth crap,certainly not 5 inches worth of it anyways.
