So I picked up a brushed Tekin HD 35t motor and a Onyx 3 cell 5000 25c battery. Made a custom battery mount out of brake line and bolted the original battery tray to it. Made ESC and receiver mounts out of roofing flashing and velcro for easy maintenance while keeping them low at frame height

RTR! already took it out for the first test run. Gotta lower the battery mount even more but other than that it crawled good and it's time to put some hours on it before I tinker with it again

Put some well needed hours on it over the last year now I figure it's time to do work again. Knocked the glass out, installed the Tamiya interior and clearanced the bench seat to clear the spur gear

Makes me want to take my glass out and do the interior of mine. If I keep this up I will never get mine on the dirt.

I glued the steering column and driver together, cut the door and started doing tube work again

So I finished the interior, rebuilt everything and painted it about a year ago then I lost motivation. I just got the itch again, ordered a new wheel combo and decided to dust it off and take a recent picture to give you guys an update...

What do you guys think looks better, the silver cage or the red cage? Give me some input or I'm not gonna bother with this thread!

Love the truck. Personally I like the silver cage better, but the red on black definitely pops.

New wheel combo, Mayhem 1.25" wide super offset rims and XL swampers! Gonna clean up the wiring and install the head / tail lights then hit the trail for the first time in ages! Wheeling pictures to fallow
