Did you already buy the stage one kit? I have it and the "high steer arm" on the c-hub rubbed with fat/wide tires. The axial kicks in as not to rub. But just my cents good luck man i'll be watchin.

Looks like a fun build. A few thoughts: Good call on the beef tubes - rotating mass = lower runtime & drivetrain stress. Not sure why you need all that steel in your drive train though if you are running only 2s and a 55t - why not run 3s ? Also, you are running a BEC right? If you already have those parts then I can understand, but heavy tranny parts will needlessly (given your power plant) raise your COG. Love the motoworx! Good job with the links too. What's the wheelbase, 11.5" or so? |

Nice list of parts. One question, why run full droop with them shocks with no oil or springs? It'll be horrible to drive! Also, if you are looking at a hinged exo cage, have a look here at an Exo caged hilux i built a while back http://www.thecrawlpit.com/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=8518 Last edited by 1tuff40; 12-27-2013 at 05:55 PM. Sorry mate try this one! exoed hilux comp truck Either shocks will do, i have Losi shocks on my SCX10 but made new shock hoops that were 10mm longer with brake tube to compensate for the extra length, only cause i had the losi shocks sitting there and no other SCX10 or shorter shocks. Maybe its something worth considering when you have the tube and bender out? Last edited by 1tuff40; 12-27-2013 at 10:28 PM. |

Looking pretty good! Digging those wheels. I may have to get my hands on a all black set! I'll be watching this build up As far as the piggy backs go.. Go with the 93mm. It's plenty for the scx10 and you won't lose to much cog with it adjust right and will perform much better on side hills the unsprung. They are just really big body shocks. Keel that in mind |

You might try a Holmes hobbies or brood 45t on 2s or use the 3s from your wraith. 55t on 2s might be a little slow.

I got some 103mm gmade XD piggy backs. I was able to start brazing once I had my ride height. I cut a couple inches off the front and the rear of the frame. Used 1/4" brake line cross members with 8/32 thread ready rod and nuts for the hinging points Last edited by SBC; 08-19-2016 at 02:14 PM. |

I pretty much finished the tube work over the last few nights, the only brazing left to do is tie it in to the frame at the front and I'm off to the cosmetics |

Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it. The dove was inspired by another members thread: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/paint...ilux-cd13.html It's slowly coming along. I still have to mount the battery, electronics, lights and propane tank/s Here's another peak |

I really like wheel base, and love how the wheels look on that Yota body. Thnks for helping me decided between those and the VPs.....LOL... I'm actually running those XD shocks (103mm I think???) with no springs and Diff oil on them, love them | |
