Default TylerV's High-Lift

Just posting some pics of my High-Lift. Being my first scale build, my main objective is to keep it simple and give it a clean look. Right now the only mods are faux resevoirs from Shodog on Scale4x4 and a track bar to help with the axle wrap because of the soft suspension. So far the only thing left on my list to do is a can-back, roof rack with a light rack, head lights, tail lights, rack lights, and 2.2's on dark impact wheels or 2.2's modded to fit 1.9 rims. Maybe I'll add more to the list. Who knows . By the way, the white on the bed rails is just protective stuff on the servo tape that's going to be used to mount the can back. On to the pics! Hopefully I'll be able to action pics of it outside tomorrow.

Thanks guys for the comments!

Cole, the line running from the resevoirs to the shock is miniature braided line. It's pretty cool stuff.

Just a little update. I got all the peices for the canback cut last night. Still waiting on some flux to get here so I can see if I can braze this thing together. Anyways, hopefully I can get the soft top part done tonight.

Default Can-Back is finished!

Well I finished up the canback today and did a little bit of messing around. I also managed to break one of the side mirrors on my little drive. Time for foldable mirrors!! Anyways, tell me what you guys think of the can back. Oh yeah, I ordered some 22,000 mcd LED's for the headlights. I can't wait to get them. They should be insanely bright .

Edit: I'm still debating on whether or not to paint the can back cage

The can back looks good. You could make the little tie straps that hold the rolled up sides in place.

Just a little bit of an update.

First off, I decided to paint the cage of the can back. I went with a semi flat black. Second of all, I found a better (IMO) way to mount the battery. Seeing that I only use one battery, I just zip tied it into place in between the frame rails. I really like it so far. It's nice not seeing the battery hanging down when you drive by. On to the pics!

I am also very impressed by those shock reservoirs. With braided lines even. That is a really nice touch.
Very good looking truck there.

Yeah, I really like the look of the can back. I scraped the one that you see in the pictures though because I was using some crappy solder. As you can probably tell the solder was puddling up on me and it just wasn't strong at all. I got some new stuff from ace that's way stronger and flows really nice.
