Well, it may be a little bit of overkill, but I figured out my mounting. I'm using basically the same setup as a real Chevy pickup. I'm thinking about putting a couple of O-rings between the cab and the mount just to make it look real. Oh! And you can see that I got the back of the cab done! I'm very happy with the way it turned out!

And I might as well continue... I got the bed mounting done too!

But now the hard part. Those duals stick out way too far. I'm going to have to try to narrow the rear end. I am putting the fender flares on it, front and back, I think. I'll have to see what it looks like before I make up my mind. I have to wait till I get home to get them. Also have shocks and a few other goodies waiting there!

Looks great, that mounting is a good idea. Nice and sturdy.

LMAO! Yah, I do it in the sleeper. Never had a lot lizard, but I have had them banging on my door at 2am! Thank you for the compliment!

I'm glad you think so. I spend all day driving and thinking of how to do something. Then when I stop, I pray for enough time to try what I thought of! LOL!

Well, what do you think? The liscense plate that's on there isn't the one I'm going to use for this truck. I just put it on there for show.

I did buy a grill! I have to get home to get it though! Lol! It's driving me nuts too!

I'm in Ogden, UT. I stopped by an RC shop and they were talking about an RC swap meet tomorrow. I don't have to leave till tomorrow night! Hoping to find some cool stuff!

I'm thinking of making a set of nerf bars for it. What do you think? They'll look a lot better after they're painted but I think they came out pretty good!

I forgot, I wanted to show the dimensions of this truck. 24" nose to tailgate. Just a hair over 9" tall and a 15 1/2" wheelbase.

The next time you take a wheelbase measurement of your rig, make sure you leave your stomach out of the picture! I'm sick enough looking at mine...the last thing I need to see is yours!

The rig is looking big! I love the nerf bars! My neighbor has a SICK Dual ranch that has some similar custom bars. I never liked them until I saw them on his! Keep it up! G

Well thank god I was wearing pants at least! Lmao! Actually, that's kinda embarrassing. I didn't notice that! Lol!

I'm just curious, did you ever post measurements like these of your Ford?

Thank you for the encouragement! As for the bars, I just thought it needed something along the side. It looked so bare! Lol!

Ok, so this morning I'm looking at narrowing the rear end. It is a plastic RC4WD T-Rex D60. I need to narrow it down by 15mm per side. Has anyone tried this with one of these axles before? I searched the net and can't find anything. The tabs will get cut off. Because of how it is mounted, the really aren't needed. So that makes shortening the tubes easier. I'm hoping for help on this. I have ideas but I'm not sure they'll work. I put the best pictures I could get up so you can see how it goes together.
